Are you thinking of going skiing in the French Pyrenees? The AX les Thermes ski resort is one of the most beautiful, and it offers visitors sensations and experiences that make it very special. In it we can find 3 sectors:
Bonascre , also known as Plateau de Bonascre It is a commercial and residential area that ranges between 1,400 and 2,000 meters of altitude. Where the ski slopes run between the trees, with wide tracks (mostly blue) ideal for a day of quiet skiing and especially for beginners. Although it also offers a pair of red tracks for the most daring and a large green trail to reach the base as comfortable and easy as possible.
The area of Saquet is located between 1,800 and 2,300 meters, this is the smallest of the three but makes a union between Bonascre and Campels. Here you will find green, blue, red and black tracks of great width. In addition, its orientation allows maintaining the quality of the snow in perfect conditions on the days that the heat tightens the most.
Finally Campels is an area that mixes the properties of the other two zones, is located between 1,700 and 2,400 meters. With great fun blue, red and black tracks that run between trees and clear areas. This is a very alpine area where the landscape will leave you speechless, in addition, it is ideal to make itineraries and outlets very fun.
AX comes from Latin and means water, this name is due to the many springs that sprout in your municipality. The city of Ax is historically known for its thermal springs; sulphurous waters that reach up to 77ºC and that have numerous therapeutic properties.
