After a favourable winter, the Boí Taüll ski resort closes during the summer to continue dreaming. The complex has increased their hotel occupancy rate for the summer season, with more than 40,000 overnight stays , there has been a 23% increase during 2016.
Xavier González, who is the Boí Taüll general director, understands that "that the profile of most summer customers is a family profile" and that, in most cases, "come from the interior" of the peninsula. The rest "travel from countries that are near Andorra such as France, Belgium and the Netherlands", emphasises González. This is how this resort in Lleida, the highest in the Pyrenees, closes the summer season to give way to another that also looks promising, the winter season.
If snow conditions allow it, the ski season will begin on Friday, 1st December. In addition, the managers of the resort point out that, in the near future, new features will be launched to meet the growing demand that the destination has experienced throughout 2017.
Fair but possible deadlines for the new gondola lift that should connect the village of Benasque with the ski slopes of Cerler. If all goes well, the manufacturer will be awarded this summer, and in autumn they will start working for December 2025 to be able to release it.
