Do you see yourself with the ability to flip 12 kilometers on your skis? Eye that is not easy! Sierra Nevada puts you to challenge from this weekend, in which it touches the 100 km of ski slopes and perhaps the longest route in Spain.
Little is left for the Sierra Nevada ski resort to reach 100 ski kilometers. At the moment they are 3 less, but they are 100% of the lifts in progress and all the open areas. Snow quality is dust on all tracks, with thicknesses between 20 and 200 centimeters. The weekend seems to be of those unique, since the large amount of snow, temperatures are rising slightly and clear skies, according to the latest weather forecasts.
The excellent snow conditions from Veleta to Pradollano have allowed the opening of the K12, one of the novelties of this season, which consists of a 12-kilometer route of gentle descent from the upper resort of the Laguna chairlift to the urbanization of Pradollano; linking existing tracks along the southern slope of the ski area.
The resort has also conditioned the Montebajo mountain ski itinerary, a new circuit in the Loma de Dílar area, which starts in Pradollano and climbs up the Loma de Dílar, Peñón del Dílar and Poniente slopes to end at the Radio Telescope .
The Snowpark Sulayr is being completed, and it has all the modules of sectors 1, 2, 3 and Miniparque, as well as with jumps 1 and 4 of sector 3. In that same area, the freestyle mat is again operational, located next to the Loma de Dilar chairlift, from Wednesday to Sunday between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Also this weekend will take place, within the Alevín Andalusian Cup: the XVI Trophy. Mª José Rienda for inclusion, in which athletes with disabilities and XXV Monachil City Council Trophy will participate. The tests will be held on the Prado de las Monjas track, on Saturday, February 1, a Giant Slalom, and on Sunday 2 a Giant will be played.
Also, this Saturday, Sierra Nevada hosts the ninth edition of Snow Running, the pioneer snow-capped mountain race in Spain that, in 2020, will exceed its participation record with a total of 900 runners, thus reaching the registration limit enabled for the test. The race will be played, starting at 18:30, with departure on the track of El Río to ascend by Maribel, Levante, Borreguiles, lower resort of the Zayas ski lift, and descent by Partridge, Cecilio (ascending section), Loma de Dilar and final in Pradollano. A route of 12.7 kilometers with a cumulative positive slope of 920 meters, which will be done at free speed.

Fair but possible deadlines for the new gondola lift that should connect the village of Benasque with the ski slopes of Cerler. If all goes well, the manufacturer will be awarded this summer, and in autumn they will start working for December 2025 to be able to release it.
