FGC's ski and mountain resorts face the last week of the season with very good conditions
After a rather busy Easter Week, La Molina, Boí Taüll, Espot, Port Ainé and Vallter will remain open until Sunday, April 7.
The resort of Boí Taüll will also reopen on the weekend of April 13 and 14 and all users who have season ski Ski Passes from other resorts in the group will be able to ski on presentation of their ski pass.
Vall de Núria closed the ski season yesterday, March 31, but continues with all its activities, including the Rack Railway, which runs all year round, as well as the Leisure Park, exhibitions and hiking, among others.
From Saturday March 23 to Monday April 1, La Molina, Vall de Núria, Vallter, Espot Esquí, Port Ainé and Boí Taüll have been the protagonists of an Easter week of skiing, snowboarding and mountain activities under a very changeable weather and offering a wide range of sporting and recreational events.
The resort most favored by the snowfall has been Boi Taüll, which has seen the fall uninterruptedly from March 26 to April 1, up to 125 cm and ending this holiday with thicknesses on slopes of 120 cm at low altitudes and 260 cm at high altitudes. In fact, the technicians of the Alta Ribagorça resort report that the sum of snowfall this winter 23-24 reaches the spectacular 415 cm.
In this context, the managers of the Ribagorça ski resort have decided that they will reopen the weekend of April 13 and 14 and anyone who has season ski Ski Passes from other resorts of the FGC Turisme group will be able to ski presenting their ski pass.
This Easter has practically precipitated daily in La Molina, with an accumulated thickness of new snow of about 20 cm. The resort has been operating daily, despite the difficult weather, with the Central, Baixa and Torrent areas open with good snow conditions and the Cadí-Moixeró cable car for tourist use. Four social races have been held, the VIII Gincana Ous for Easter, DJ session on the terrace of Costa Rasa and the VIII TriSnow that combines Running, MTB and Skimo.
Next weekend, April 6 and 7, the resort will have open all the Central area and is scheduled to hold the FIS Catalonia Absolute Alpine Ski Championships, which are also the 1st Memorial Luis Breitfuss. In the modalities of Slalom and Giant it is foreseen that they will be disputed in the stadiums of Solell and Els Plans, in the area of Torrent Negre.
To emphasize that in a meteorologically complicated season as this one, practically all the events planned in La Molina have been able to be carried out and this Easter Week ended with a winter stamp.
As for the Pallars, highlight the good influx of visitors and the very good hotel occupancy thanks to the ski resorts of Espot and Port Ainé were open and in the run, and in these times of spring, the Alt Pirineu Natural Park and the National Park of Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici. As an example, the Hotel Port Ainé 2000, directly on the slopes of the resort of Rialp, which has been at 100% occupancy all week.
The last snowfalls have left a maximum of 60 cm in Port Ainé and 70 cm of accumulated snow in Espot. With these good conditions, the season will end on April 7, with plenty of snow and almost 100% of the skiable domains open. This last weekend will be the popular race of Gall Fer in Port Ainé on Saturday 6 and on Sunday 7 in Espot the popular race Tamarro Race.
After two seasons without skiing at Easter, this season Vallter has had very good snow conditions. The snowfalls of these days have left us almost 40 cm and the accumulation of snow has allowed us to open the Bac areas and expand the Clot area, offering winter conditions, which has favored more than 90% occupancy in the Valley of Camprodon and Ripollès. The Camprodon Ski Club Social Race and the Vallter Race, children's workshops and the Spring Festival were held.
The good snow conditions currently enjoyed by the Ripollès ski resort allow the season to be extended until April 7. For this coming week different promotions are planned, such as exclusive discounts for students, self-employed or for all those who live or work in the Ripollès or special offers in the restaurant and in the Foodtruck to enjoy local products. And for the last weekend of the season, on April 6 and 7, there will be musical entertainment in the different areas of the resort, as well as children's and family activities.
Vall de Núria ended its snow season on Sunday, March 31, although the rack railway and the rest of the resort's tourist services do not stop and will be fully operational beyond that date. The most outstanding proposals of the mountain resort also located in Ripollès are the Cable Car, the Leisure Park, the exhibition rooms and the hiking trails around the Sanctuary and in the heart of the Natural Park of the Headwaters of the Ter and Freser rivers. All in all, the Núria rack railway, the only means of access to the mountain resort, runs daily and uninterruptedly throughout the year.
Thus, once again this year, the FGC Turisme resorts have contributed to generate visits, occupation and dynamism in the mountain regions.
Fair but possible deadlines for the new gondola lift that should connect the village of Benasque with the ski slopes of Cerler. If all goes well, the manufacturer will be awarded this summer, and in autumn they will start working for December 2025 to be able to release it.
and be the first to receive great ski deals!
