The Grandvalira ski area has become one of the most chosen for snow lovers during the holiday season. More than 265,000 skiers have enjoyed the facilities of the Andorran domain, which has been a 5.4% increase over the same time last year.
The busiest days were 2 and 3 January, after celebrating the new year. The influx of users has remained constant over Christmas every day except 28 and 29 December as weather conditions hampered the practice of winter sports.
Alfonso Torreño, director of marketing at Grandvalira, has welcomed the figures and praised the team of land, "has kept good snow conditions despite the lack of rainfall and above all, quality service according with the brand values that represents Grandvalira ".
Forecast for the end of week 9 - January 11
For next weekend is expected good weather and pleasant temperatures for skiing and snowboarding. The domain will provide up to 190 kilometers of pistes and all ski resorts are open. The snow level will range from 50 to 100cm.
Fair but possible deadlines for the new gondola lift that should connect the village of Benasque with the ski slopes of Cerler. If all goes well, the manufacturer will be awarded this summer, and in autumn they will start working for December 2025 to be able to release it.
