Hands to sticks and gloves on. From the next ski season in the resorts of the Grup FGC , a public company of the Generalitat de Catalunya that manages 3 winter resorts in the Pyrenees of Girona and many others in the Lleida, they will have the 'hands-free ski pass' system.
Until now this method was only implemented in the accesses of the ski lifts of La Molina and in Boí Taull , but between this summer and autumn, it will also be placed in that of Vall de Núria and Vallter 2000 (Ripollès), as well as those of Espot y Port Ainé (Pallars Sobirà). In fact, the new ski lifts that Grup FGC places in the coming weeks already take this new access system into account.
Thus, in Vall de Núria it will be placed in the new Coma del Clot cable car, as well as in the 'de la Pala' chairlift. Also in the accesses to the ski lifts in the debutantes area located on the side of the track where the arrival of the rack railway is. Both this last building and the one located in Ribes de Freser, will also have a hands-free ski pass reader.
In total at the Vall de Núria ski resort itself, 5 access points will be placed corresponding to its two ski lifts, the ski lift, the cable car, as well as the debutants belt and the recreational park. In the facilities of the Zipper will be 4 entries with RFID system corresponding to the 4 train resorts from Ribes Enllaç to Núria.
The system must be ready by December 20, 2019.
In Vallter 2000 the new winches will be located in the two ski lifts and in the two ski lifts. The new RFID system will also have the Morens tape and the Parc Lúdic. In the future, it is valued to implement an access to the car park through this hands-free pass, both for those who have purchased a ski / snowboard pass and for the Parc Lúdic.
Automatic ticket sales systems will be installed in both the lower level (2 points) and the upper level (6 machines). In Camprodón there will be an Automatic Pick-up Point, and two others next to the base of the Enric Planella Ski Lift and another in the service building of the Valter 2000 ski resort itself.
The system must be ready by November 29, 2019
In Port Ainé they will be placed on the JetCim and Roni chairlifts (also at their intermediate stop), as well as on the 3 ski lifts and the debutant belt. It is also valued in the future to access the car park lot with this type of ski pass.
There will be automatic sales systems in the facilities of the ski resort, and also collection of ski passes in Rialp that add up to the three points with staff.
The system must be ready by November 22, 2019.
Finally in Espot , where a new 4-seater chairlift will be premiered to replace the current La Roca, the hands-free access points will be located on the two chairlifts, the ski lift and the two belts.
The points of sale will continue at level 1500, where the 6 ticket offices will follow, but also two automatic pick-up machines. In the Cota 2000 the sale will be manual for the Parc Lúdic.
The system must be ready by November 15, 2019
With the installation of this RFID system in the access to ski lifts of these four resorts, all winter complexes managed by the Generalitat have the ' hands-free ski pass ' system. This method not only allows the skier more comfort, but it can analyze many user behavior data and offer adapted packs, a commitment to e-commerce that the public entity wants to promote since 2017 , when it was planned to start this project, but that could not be carried out until this year.
The three private resorts of Catalunya (Baqueira Beret, Masella and Port del Comte), as well as Tavascán (municipal accommodation) will be the only ones that will remain in the whole Pyrenees with the classic pass, since in the Aragonese part all its winter complexes have with this system for years. Also in Andorra it is accessed by ski pass with RFID chip.

Fair but possible deadlines for the new gondola lift that should connect the village of Benasque with the ski slopes of Cerler. If all goes well, the manufacturer will be awarded this summer, and in autumn they will start working for December 2025 to be able to release it.
and be the first to receive great ski deals!
