The La Molina ski resort, managed by Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), has incorporated a new Kässbohrer Pistenbully PB600 E+ hybrid ski lift. This type of engine reduces fuel consumption by 20% while minimizing CO2 and NOx emissions. According to FGC, the investment represents a "step forward" in the reduction of the carbon footprint and the commitment to "more respectful practices" with the environment. This is the first machine of these characteristics that exists in the Catalan and Spanish Pyrenees. Its managers claim to offer a "perfect combination" of performance, efficiency and respect for the environment.
New hybrid ski-stepping machine in La Molina
The new machinery stands out for its combined diesel and electric propulsion. This reduces fossil fuel consumption and CO2 and NOx emissions. It also has reduced operating costs, since its hybrid technology allows lower fuel consumption and helps to optimize the station's economic resources.
It has a long-life, low-maintenance electric transmission that ensures optimum efficiency and a long service life for this system. It also makes less noise, thus improving working conditions for operators and reducing noise pollution in the natural environment. Equipped with proven technical components, it provides optimal performance and efficient management of snow grooming tasks.

Among its many qualities are:
-Combined diesel and electric propulsion: Reduces fuel consumption by 20% and minimizes CO2 and NOx emissions, thus contributing to the pbooking of the environment.
-Reduced operating costs: Thanks to its hybrid technology, the machine uses less fuel and helps to optimize the station's economic resources.
Long-lasting electric transmission: With low maintenance, the machine's electric transmission ensures optimum efficiency and a long service life of this system.
-Lower noise level: The new hybrid machine offers a quieter working environment, thus improving working conditions for operators and reducing noise pollution in the natural environment.
-Powerful and fully digitalized: Equipped with proven technical components, the machine provides optimal performance and efficient management of snow grooming tasks.
Fair but possible deadlines for the new gondola lift that should connect the village of Benasque with the ski slopes of Cerler. If all goes well, the manufacturer will be awarded this summer, and in autumn they will start working for December 2025 to be able to release it.
