The ski resort Formigal-Panticosa is ready for the celebration of Panticosa Mountain Fest, an event that aims to establish itself as a benchmark in the world of mountain and returns after the success in the first edition of 2016.
Two days duration and new activities are the calling card of Panticosa Mountain Fest 2017, which runs for three days and whose activities are free.
Among the novelties of the second edition of the festival is the incorporation Championship Skimo and Splitboard Aragon; specialized discussions that will take place in Room Fajuala throughout the weekend, focusing on the conservation of winter sports equipment, prevention of avalanches and risks in the mountains; Waxed workshops and first aid courses; the screening of films on mountain, skiing or snowboarding; a photographic exhibition by Mikel Besga adventurer, gathering an impressive collection of images of mountain; and finally a series of acoustic concerts in the Cobaxo.
Another of the attractions of Panticosa Mountain Fest 2017 program are bushcraft activities (skills in matters relating to survival and self - sufficiency in the mountains), dedicated to all public and taught by British rangers. There will be orientation courses, ski and snowboard races, trails skimo and a long list of proposals.
The festival will take place this week, from Friday 17 to Saturday 19 February.
Fair but possible deadlines for the new gondola lift that should connect the village of Benasque with the ski slopes of Cerler. If all goes well, the manufacturer will be awarded this summer, and in autumn they will start working for December 2025 to be able to release it.
