Younger, fun and open to new experiences. This is how Sierra Nevada presents its new image, which will be released this season and which is expected to do it on 25th November, the date that Cetursa manages for the opening of the resort. The Minister of Tourism and Sports, Francisco Javier Fernández, presented yesterday this renewed image, which does not give up "the great fortresses" that have turned the Sierra Nevada into one of the most important resorts in southern Europe. Fernández explained that the image of Veleta was "unrenounceable" in the new logo, which emerges as part of an "investment and transformation cycle of the resort" which culmination was the celebration of the 2017 Snowboard and Freestyle World Championships.
The counselor pointed out that, based on this image, the information and communication supports will be reviewed by customers, which will increase the number of plans to "improve visitor mobility" inside the tracks. Likewise, screens will be installed where the main lifts are, new tools will be added to the website and mobile application, and will be studied, together with the Monachil Town Hall, where the resort is located, the sign posts of the city centre.
Fair but possible deadlines for the new gondola lift that should connect the village of Benasque with the ski slopes of Cerler. If all goes well, the manufacturer will be awarded this summer, and in autumn they will start working for December 2025 to be able to release it.
