In this short season marked by meteorology, more than one million skiers have passed through the Aramón group complexes: Javalambre and Valdelinares , in Teruel, and Formigal-Panticosa and Cerler , in the Pyrenees. It has been 135 days of skiing , from November 28 to Sunday, April 10.
The snow season 2015 - 2016 has gone from less to more. Although it was possible to open all the resorts before the bridge of the Constitution, an anticyclone that lasted throughout the month of December forced to make great efforts to keep the tracks in the best possible conditions. The high temperatures and the feeling that the winter had not arrived diminished affluence with respect to previous campaigns in the start and even during Christmas .

However, the new year came with snowfall. Since the beginning of 2016, the season was 'in crescendo' and customers have enjoyed exceptional conditions until the last moment. At the end of the month of March and beginning of April there have been days when the snowy mantle was similar to the one in the middle of winter, with a very good quality and powder snow on the slopes. These late snowfalls were the ones that encouraged the Aramón group to extend the season one week more than expected , ending it at the Teruel resorts (Javalambre and Valdelinares) on Monday, April 4, and in the Pyrenees (Formigal-Panticosa and Cerler) this sunday day 10.

Aramón resorts have also maintained an extensive calendar of sporting and leisure events to offer an attractive program with which to attract the attention of snow fans. In the complexes of the group they have developed from high-level competitions such as the Alpine Skiing Absolute Championships that were held the last week of March in Formigal, to tests for amateurs. There have also been meetings in which the sporting aspect has been linked to fun, such as the Salomon Quest . And of course, the quarry has not been neglected. The Pitarroy or the 4Kids , both in Cerler, are two examples of this.

The riders have also had their space. Some 150,000 fans have passed through the snowparks of the group, in which there are more than 120 different modules and for which 87 tons of snow are moved every season so they can enjoy doing pirouettes in the snow of Aramón. In addition, specific competitions have not been lacking. Around 53,000 fans have participated in the organized sports events for the different modalities and some 47,000 in the recreational ones.
And the music has also played a prominent role in the program. Among the leisure events, note that the Coca-Cola Music Experience was a success, as well as the Eskimo + QSKI festival that at the end of January combined music and sport and attracted thousands of young people to the Formigal ski slopes .
To all these activities we must add other experiences that make Aramón a unique destination. Snow Cooking or Toboganning are two examples. But so is its varied and unique catering offer, which has passed more than 700,000 customers . This cocktail of sport, leisure and gastronomy has encouraged many customers to plan their holidays and weekends in the snow. In addition, a recovery from the crisis has been noted, an economic improvement that has been palpable since the end of last year.. And when the conditions are good for both snow and weather, people respond and do not hesitate to bet on the Aramón resorts.

There have been weekends of great influx both in February and in March. The weekend of February 20 and 21 was the busiest of the entire season, even breaking historical records. That Saturday more than 17,300 skiers glided down the slopes of Formigal-Panticosa, the greatest figure in their history, not even surpassed at Christmas time in which snow and weather have accompanied.
The fact that the season has been shorter than other years after the fall of Holy Week in the month of March, has also favored living a spectacular final stretch in which customers have been faithful to the snow until the last day. The unevenness skied by fans who have visited Aramón in this campaign would give to reach the Moon 12 times or go around the world 121 times .
The athlete Javier Olave marked a record last week doing more than 22,400 meters of unevenness in a single day, a challenge that he had promised his fans on social networks and for which he chose Cerler resort for his alpine conditions (he you can ski from the 2,630 of Gallinero to the 1,500 of the base).
The snow group, in addition, has launched campaigns so that customers feel protagonists and participants of this season. More than 1,000 user photos have been received in the co-creation campaign on social networks. But without a doubt, the one that has attracted the most attention has been that of the Yeti , a viral campaign promoted by Aramón with the Hawkers glasses brand, an action that has carried the name of Formigal all over the world. And is that newspapers like Mirror, Daily Mail, The Sun, the Sun or Paris Match echoed it.

The climax to this ski season that has been growing as the days went by has been the best month of March and the best Holy Week in the history of Aramón, both in the Pyrenees and in the complexes of Teruel.
