In the middle of the Sierra de Gúdar-Javalambre, to the south of the province of Teruel, is the Javalambre ski resort. It is a modern and attractive station, where you can surf on the snow and feel in full contact with nature between soft mountains, steep slopes and wide forests.
In Javalambre, you will enjoy the heights, since its maximum height is 2,000 m. The station is divided into two zones: Lapiaz and Sabina, and brings together a total of 15 skiable kilometers spread over 14 tracks. In addition, there are no black tracks, and red ones can be counted on the fingers.
Also, its great improvements in accesses and facilities have allowed a spectacular increase of visitors from the Valencian Community, Catalonia and Aragon. The modern snow production systems, consisting of 166 guns, guarantee the practice of skiing throughout the winter season. Aramón Javalambre bets on the quality of its services, so that white sports fans can spend unforgettable ski days.
Nature lovers can make the most of their snow getaway on the new panoramic trails, which lead visitors through the perimeter of the ski resort, enjoying wonderful views of the Sierra de Javalambre.
If you are a beginner and you have never put yourself to the test on the snow, at your disposal you will have more than 40 professionals in the ski school who will be willing to teach you the basics to use the skis or the snowboard. With them, you can start sliding down the 4 green tracks, all located in the sector of Sabina. Later, when you feel confident and want to level up -or if you are more experienced-, you have 8 blue and 1 red tracks.
In case you like freestyle, the station offers a special area, with modules of greater difficulty, located in the sector of Lapiaz, and which is accessed from the Camarena chair lift. You will also find activities such as slalom, as well as a snowspeed on the Ventisquero track.
Although the station is young, we found a very familiar activity that everyone loves: sledges. For you to return to childhood and have a great time, on this track you can slide with a sledge, play ball and make a snowman.
For breakfast or lunch on the slopes, Javalambre has 6 restaurants and cafés. We recommend you visit the El Mercado restaurant, located in the sector of Sabina, and where you can enjoy a good homemade food in the area.
