If you are a snow enthusiast like us, you will know that this winter is leaving us with a bittersweet taste in terms of snow on the ski slopes. Although all the resorts are looking white, the truth is that the weather is not being too generous this year for skiers and snowboarders.

The good news? After all, many ski resorts present good snow conditions. Yup, just as you read it! Among them, are the ski resorts of Andorra, the ski resorts of the Aragonese Pyrenees and the Catalan Pyrenees. And we finish our list with a super recommendation: the ski resorts in the French Pyrenees.!

And although not all ski resorts are equally lucky, we want to recommend to you the best snow destinations for the last days of winter and the beginning of spring. Ready to go? Fasten your seat belts, we're off to the races.

Skiing in Andorra: A safe bet!

Let's start our list of the best ski resorts in March and April with the absolute bestseller on Esquiades.com: Skiing in Andorra. And there's a good reason for this: For starters, in Grandvalira, the biggest ski resort in the Pyrenees, 107 out of 138 slopes are available to skiers and boarders at the time of writing this post.

The same applies to Vallnord Pal-Arinsal. The second-largest ski resort in Andorra, where 39 of its 45 slopes are open to the public.  However, our recommendation for the best ski resort for March and April might surprise you all.

This is what Pal-Arinsal looked like on February 12

We're talking about Ordino-Arcalís, the smallest of the three ski resorts in Andorra, which beats them all. With 26 out of 28 available slopes and the best snow conditions as of today, it is an absolute must on your ski resort bucket list!

Hurry up and grab the best ski deals for arch and April before it's too late, as the season finale for Pal-Arinsal is set to be on April 10, while both Grandvalira and Ordino-Arcalís won't lower their blinds until April 16! Discover hidden gems in the Catalan Pyrenees

We continue our hunt for the best ski resorts in March and April in the Catalan Pyrenees, where at the time of writing, all ski resorts are open and present great snow conditions. The Catalan Pyrenees are a fascinating ski destination, due to their location and great value, as you will be able to find great options for a budget ski holiday.

Leading the board is the all-mighty Baqueira Beret, which apart from being the biggest Ski resort in Spain, is considered by many as the best ski destination. With more than 155 skiable kilometres and slopes for all levels and a large variety of services, Baqueira is the benchmark for skiing in Spain. At the moment of writing, more than 90 of its 116 slopes are open and snow depths of up to 160 cm are waiting for you to be conquered!

Despite being smaller, ski resorts located closer to Barcelona might be a great option for you if you're travelling by plane. Make sure to check out La Molina and Masella if this is your case. Both ski resorts offer great snow conditions and are renowned for being home to several international skiing competitions.

In the mood for discovering a true hidden gem? Look no further than Boí Taüll! This charming and calm ski resort offers 45 km of skiable slopes without queues or crowds, with snow depths of well over a metre at the time of writing. Make sure to give it a closer look on our webcams, you won't be deceived!

Want to grab a ski deal for cheap before the season comes to an end? You have until April 10, which is the foreseen closing date for the Catalan Pyrenees ski resorts.

Top-level skiing in the French Pyrenees

We've said this before, and we'll say it again: The ski resorts in the French Pyrenees tend to be overlooked, especially if being compared with their cousins, the French Alps. The ski resorts may be smaller, but that doesn't mean that the quality is any less than other top European ski resorts.

When it comes to snow quality, especially regarding this year's ski season, French Pyrenees have no reason to be ashamed of and present better snow conditions than many Alpine Ski resorts. And the best part? It's just a fraction of the price you would otherwise spend in a more renowned ski resort!

Check out ski deals in the ski resort of Saint Lary, located in the Valley of Aure. With 100 kilometres spread over 55 ski slopes, Saint Lary offers slopes for all types of skiers.

Another classic ski resort in the French Pyrenees must be Font Romeu, a skiing reference in the South of France. Font Romeu is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and large variety of services. As of today, you will find 37 of its 42 slopes open to the public, with snow depths ranging around the 1-metre mark.

Last but not least, we recommend Grand Tourmalet, a ski resort with more than 100 km of skiable slopes and loads of après-ski options to spend an unforgettable ski week in the French Pyrenees. With snow depths ranging between 90 and 160 cm as of today, Grand Tourmalet is a great option for a ski holiday in March.  Find the closing dates for all ski resorts in the French Pyrenees right here!
