Originally it was an agricultural village, but in 1900 tourism began to emerge and many visitors (mostly British) discovered this charming area in Switzerland - in the beautiful valley of Lauterbrunnen, known as the Valley of 72 Waterfalls, Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With it being so high up the mountain, it's one of the most snow-sure ski areas in Europe.
