It is located at the foot of an impressive rock and ice peak of 3,300 metres high, the Aiguille de Péclet. It belongs to the extensive ski area of Les 3 Vallées, which includes 600 km of interconnected slopes. The ski resort of Val Thorens belongs to the ski area of Les 3 Vallées, one of the largest in the world and one of the most prestigious in the French Alps.

 

This extensive ski area has a vertical drop of 2,160 metres and is made up of eight resorts: Courchevel, La Tania, Méribel, Brides-Les-Bains, Les Menuires - Saint Martin, Val Thorens and Orelle. Val Thorens and Orelle have an enviable extension with more than 140 kilometres of slopes and a difference in altitude of 1,430 metres. Thanks to its altitude, you can find eight skiable areas above 3,000 metres.

 

This will allow you to enjoy excellent snow, which is maintained from late November to mid-May. In addition, almost all the skiable terrain of the ski resort is above 2,300 metres of altitude.
