Why should you ski in Vialattea - Sestriere?

 

Vialattea is an international ski resort located between Italy and France. Specifically, it includes five small towns in the Italian Piedmont: Cesana, Claviere, Sansicario, Sauze d'Oloux and Sestriere, and one in the French Hautes-Alpes: Montgenevre.

 

The Sestriere ski resort has a long history behind it, such as the two emblematic monuments called "two towers", which were erected in 1930 by Giovanni Angeli, the founder of FIAT, in order to offer the brand's employees a ski resort.

 

You will have the chance to ski at night on an illuminated Olympic slope, as well as enjoy the incredible views of the Alps from its highest peak during the day and let yourself be carried away by its long slopes. The resort is located approximately 100km from Turin. So the most common way to get there is:

  • By car: via the A32 freeway to Oulx, then by local road to Sestriere.
  • By train: Arrive at Oulx station and continue by bus or cab.
  • By plane: The nearest airport is Turin airport, with public transport connections and shuttle services available.
