It's Sunday. At 6 o'clock in the afternoon the queue to leave Andorra by the border reaches the north entrance of Sant Julià de Llòria. In total, there are 8 kilometres of withholding. A sign that something, positively, is moving in the ski resort. The 2017/2018 season may end up being historic because of the number of skiers and snowboarders on slopes.
The great influx of skiers in Grandvalira this Sunday is proof of that. In social networks, many users published photos of queues to access the lifts of the Andorran resort, such as Pic Blanc de Grau Roig. In that, much has had to do with the weather, as sun and pleasant temperatures were added to the very good snow conditions offered by practically all the resorts of the Pyrenees. The circumstances help the ski resorts of the Pyrenees fill everything, but it is also true that there is an upward trend compared to previous seasons.
The Sierra Nevada National and Natural Park, the same that embraces the ski resort from which it takes its name, has been included in the IUCN 'Green List', which certifies that there can be coexistence between mountain and slopes.
