The Cerdanya ski resort could not have started its spring season in a better way. A snowfall has left 25 centimeters more on its slopes, which allows it to enjoy part of its skiable area with powder snow.

This Sunday, March 20, we entered astronomical spring with snowfalls that during the last 48 hours have accumulated up to 25 cm of new snow in Masella, according to explanations from the same resort.

These new precipitations have been accumulating thicknesses on slopes since the beginning of March, when stability ended and the typical snowfalls of this time of year began to frequent. In addition, today has coincided with a fairly sunny day and the lowest temperature record for this month. Today, at the 2500 m level of La Tosa, the thermometer has reached -8.8ºC.

There are currently 47 slopes and variants open in the resort, with 54 skiable km. The quality of the snow is powder at high altitudes and spring at low altitudes.

The special climate of Cerdanya makes it from the month of February when it receives the greatest amount of snowfall.

The resort sends these images from yesterday, Tuesday, March 22, with the winter landscape on slopes after the snowfall of the last 48 hours.
