1 The new Coll de Pal chairlift

Thanks to the construction of the second section of the Alp 2500 cable car, the La Molina station will recover the historical access to the top of Tossa, and much of the ski area of the Tosa area and the Niu de l'Áliga Refuge can be accessed at 2,520 meters.

The cable car will also strengthen the cooperation of the La Molina and Masella stations that share the Alp 2500 domain. It will also help boost the tourist attraction throughout the year that will benefit the surrounding regions and the Pyrenees as a whole. In addition, the refuge of the Niu de L'Áliga will be a reference space for the promotion of landscape and nature.

The works of this cable car consist of the installation of 9 bollards, foundations, electrical assembly, new cabins and a hangar in the return station. This 8-seater continuous-motion monocable will overcome a slope of 178 m. The exploitation of this is intended for skiers and people without skis, both in winter and summer, which will increase the bike ride.

The new Coll de Pal chairlift

The work on this chairlift began a few years ago and will improve access to the practice of skiing and all activities related to mountain tourism.

This chairlift has an investment of € 1,060,000 and will join the slopes of Volta Montanya Sagrada, Olímpica and Comabella. The driving station will be located next to Lake La Molina and the station back to the area of Coll de Pal, where there are three slopes for beginners: Serrat Gran, Comafloriu and the Refugi slope within the municipality of Bagà.

The objective of this new chairlift is to complement and expand the area of debutants that starts from Pista Llarga, Font Canaleta and Trampoli, arriving with the new chairlift to the area of Coll de Pal, giving more extension to this audience in their initiation to skiing. Currently, skiing access to the Coll de Pal area is for expert skiers.
