Aramon Group converts its centers into intelligent ski resorts
Grupo Aramón has intensified its commitment to sustainability and efficient resource management by incorporating, with the help of the consulting firm Integra, IoT (Internet of Things) solutions that allow better control and analysis of numerous variables with the aim of turning its facilities into smart ski resorts.
The project comprises an IoT solution that includes complete sensorization of the resorts, data management and transformation, differentiated hot and cold storage and visualization through interactive dashboards accessible via web for each ski resort.
The group reinforces its commitment to technology to continue improving the sustainability and efficiency of all its resorts as a strategic objective.
The solution proposed by Integra stands out in the ski area for the incorporation of LoRaWAN technology, establishing a long-range private telecommunications network. This innovation ensures the reception of data in real time from any point of the network, minimizing the need for extensive physical infrastructures and therefore the environmental impact.
Among the actions implemented, the following stand out:
-Real-time instructoring of all PLCs controlling the ski lift systems, including chairlifts and conveyor belts.
-Installation of weather stations at strategic points, allowing accurate detection of adverse conditions to ensure safety and improve the experience of skiers both on the slopes and on the chairlifts.
-Automation of remote equipment instructoring, eliminating the need for manual checks and improving accuracy and efficiency.
-Temperature sensing on various equipment, replacing manual processes with automated systems.
The end result is a web platform that centralizes all the data and visualizations of the information collected by the various sensors and devices. This platform represents a qualitative leap in the management of ski resorts of the Aramón group, proposing a secure, flexible and scalable operation model that will be implemented progressively in all its facilities.
With this initiative, Aramón is at the forefront in the application of advanced technologies for the ski area, marking a milestone in the industry and setting a new standard in the sustainable and efficient management of ski resorts.
