Ordino Arcalís opens 75% of its skiing area

Grandvalira Resorts continue to offer a high number of skiable kilometres for this weekend, thanks to the excellent work of the terrain teams and the extensive snowmaking network of the domains.

Grandvalira Resorts has more than 180 km of slopes available, the widest offer currently in the Pyrenees.

Grandvalira 116 km: It has 88 open slopes, with all its ski areas connected, 67 operational lifts and snow thicknesses of up to 70 centimeters.

Pal Arinsal 40 km: It has snow thicknesses of up to 60 centimeters and 83% of the ski lifts in operation, including the cable car linking the two ski areas, as well as the new Port Negre de Arinsal chairlift, the main novelty of the season.

Ordino Arcalís 26 km: Represents 75% of the open slopes and 80% of the operational lifts, with snow thicknesses of up to 100 centimeters.

The good conditions on the slopes, which allow the practice and enjoyment of skiing, along with the weather forecast, which anticipates a weekend of mild temperatures with the sun as the protagonist, and live music on the different terraces of the domains, will make the Andorran slopes the perfect plan for this weekend.

Music, good atmosphere and day and night plans in the resorts.

Second consecutive week of "terrazing" in Grandvalira Resorts

For the second consecutive weekend, the good weather will invite you to take advantage of the idyllic atmosphere of all the terraces of the ski resorts, where multiple events are planned to liven up even more these spaces, with DJs that will liven up mornings, noons and afternoons.DJs will liven up the mornings, noons and evenings on the terraces of the Grandvalira, Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís resorts to enjoy even more the moments of pause.

The Cala Bassa Costa Rodona in Pas de la Casa promises another great afternoon of après-ski with the second Brugal party of the season, a set of very visual live performances with different instrumental musicians with DJ base, such as electronic violin, percussionists and singers in the purest Ibiza style. This Saturday, the rhythm will revolve around electronic saxophone.

The IQOS Terrace of the Soldeu ski area of Grandvalira will have this Saturday 3 from 12 pm to 4 pm the experience of live violin by Noemi, accompanied by DJ Richy Vuelcom. Also the Racó de Solanelles, in the Encamp ski area, has a full agenda of great DJs to put the rhythm every day on its spectacular terrace from 12 pm to 4 pm. This Friday, February 2 there will be Cami Alvarez, on Saturday 3 the rhythm will be provided by Andro Colors and on Sunday Ciretek will entertain the terrace.

Other Grandvalira terraces that also promise a great atmosphere throughout the ski day are the In The Snow Veuve Clicquot (El Tarter), the Vermuteria Petroni (Soldeu), the Refugio de Pessons (Grau Roig), or the San Miguel terrace (Pas de la Casa), among many others.

As for Pal Arinsal, you can enjoy a great atmosphere in the terraces of Niu, the Xiringuito or Coll de la Botella, while in Ordino Arcalís the terraces of La Coma, Planells or the Refugio de les Portelles, among others, stand out.

High altitude dinners under the stars

High altitude dinners at Grandvalira Resorts

As the sun sets, the resorts' restaurants prepare to showcase the quieter, more intimate version of the Andorran mountains with dinners under the stars.

In Grandvalira, this option is offered by the bulthaup Grau Roig, the Brasería Piolet and the Vodka Bar in the Grau Roig ski area, and the Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon in Soldeu. At the 3 Estanys restaurant it will be possible to dine on February 13, while at Pulka it will be possible every Saturday in February. The L'Abarset restaurant, meanwhile, offers its evening menu every day except Saturdays. It should be remembered that these options are always by booking.

Pal Arinsal, a "Starlight" destination, will open the Pla de la Cot for a high mountain gastronomic experience in the moonlight, which must be accessed by retrac, mountain skis or snowshoes. The restaurant in Pal is scheduled to be open every Saturday in February, plus Friday, February 9 and March 13.

The Ordino Arcalís resort, the wildest of the resorts, also opens the doors of its most iconic restaurant, La Coma, for magical dinners in the middle of the mountain, for which prior booking will also be necessary.

If you want to complete the experience at Grandvalira Resorts, Epic Andorra's unique accommodations such as the Domo Lodge or the Cabana Piolet are the perfect opportunity to experience the glamour of the mountain surrounded by luxury and warmth in a space with all the comforts and exclusivity of being the only one. A more traditional and equally cozy option is the Refugio de Sorteny, which also offers dinners.

Activities and fun beyond skiing

The Speedfly in El Tarter is the new proposal of Grandvalira Resorts.

Grandvalira has a new activity only suitable for the most daring and adventurous, the Speedfly, which combines skiing with paragliding. The experience consists of a 400 m paragliding jump and landing with skis, accompanied by an instructor, which allows you to fly over the slopes of El Tarter.

Those who do not dare with the Speedfly, can also experience the sensation of flying with the Mon(t) Magic de Canillo zip line, where there are other great attractions such as the Màgic Gliss, the mountain slide of more than half a kilometre of descent.

Other experiences that allow you to discover the spectacular natural environment of the Andorran mountains are mushing (dog sledding), snowmobile rides, or excursions on snowshoes or mountain skis.Among others, the visit to the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint, in Ordino Arcalís, stands out, which can also be done accompanied by the experienced Grandvalira Mountain Guides, who will share their knowledge of the mountain.

Pal Arinsal is also a paradise for children with its sledging track, the Kid's Zip and Big Zip zip lines or the Big Airbag jump.

The Red Bull Home Run lands in the El Tarter ski area.

One of the most fun events of the season will take place this weekend in Grandvalira's El Tarter ski area: the Red Bull Home Run. This Saturday, starting at 17:30h, the starting gun will be fired for this unique race, which challenges particitrousers to be creative as well as fast.

The race consists of being the first to get from point A to point B of the station. Before, however, runners will leave their skis or boards 60 meters from the start and when the countdown is over, particitrousers will have to run at full speed to retrieve their equipment, race down the slope and be the first to reach the finish line, choosing the line of their choice.

The race will award prizes to the fastest skiers and snowboarders, as well as the best costumes. Registrations can be made online or on the same day at the Tarter cable car building. Once the race is over, an afterparty will be held at L'Abarset.

Joseph Capriati and Sara de Araujo, protagonists at L'Abarset

L'Abarset becomes the temple of music in the Pyrenees

L'Abarset has one more week with a luxury line-up and two powerful names that will put the rhythm to ensure one more week the best après-ski party. This Saturday, the renowned Italian producer and DJ, Joseph Capriati, lands in the local ski area El Tarter, while on Friday, the Portuguese based in Ibiza, Sara de Araujo, will be at the controls of the cabin of L'Abarset.

This Saturday, there will be a new installment of The Peak, the afterparty with special guests, which extends the party inside the club until 2 am and which premiered with great success last Saturday.

Less than 10 days to Soldeu 2024 World Cup

Parallel to all these proposals, Grandvalira is also finalizing the details for one of the big events of the winter season: the women's alpine skiing World Cup Soldeu 2024.

In less than 10 days, the Avet slope, which is in excellent condition, will become the world ski epicenter for two days to welcome the best female skiers in the world in the giant and slalom disciplines.

Grandvalira Resorts ski resorts start in February with 180km of slopes.
