3 Investments of the Pyrenees Plan

Cerler and Formigal resorts will open their doors next Friday 13th, while Panticosa and Valdelinares will open on Saturday 14th December. Astún and Candanchú will also open with 50 km between them (they do not specify how many in each of them), and will be connected by shuttle bus.

The snowfalls of the last few days and the expected drop in temperatures allow the resorts of the group to work the snow to be able to offer the largest skiable ski area in the coming days.

The group thus ensures the activity at the gates of the beginning of the Christmas season, with a forecast of snow and cold.

The Aramón Group starts the 2024-2025 ski season with the opening of Cerler and Formigal next Friday 13, Panticosa and Valdelinares will be added on Saturday 14. Thanks to the last snowfalls that have left up to 80 cm of accumulated snow, together with the snow produced, and the intense preparation work carried out during the last weeks, have made it possible for the resorts to be ready to receive the first skiers of the season.

Cerler staff is working these days to open next Friday, December 13.

The ski resort of Cerler, located in the Benasque valley, will start its activity on Friday offering all the necessary services to enjoy the snow from the first day. Its two accesses will be available, both Cerler 1,500 and Ampriu, thus facilitating the arrival of skiers to the slopes.

In the Tena Valley, Formigal starts the season with the opening this Friday, while on Saturday it will be the turn of Panticosa , thus completing the offer in all its valleys. Visitors will be able to enjoy not only the quality of the slopes, but also a wide range of catering services and complementary activities that make the Tena Valley a reference destination.

The machines hit the slopes in the ski resorts of Valle de Tena after this weekend's heavy snowfall.

On the other hand, in the Sierra de Gúdar-Javalambre, the Valdelinares resort will open its doors on Saturday 14, offering various activities for winter sports lovers. In the neighboring resort of Javalambre, the teams are still working hard to open the season as soon as the conditions allow it.

It should be noted that the snow holding company is working these days to offer a forecast opening report with as many kilometres as possible.

In addition, with the opening of the resorts, the Aramón Group is boosting the dynamism of the valleys and strengthening the pace of bookings for the Christmas hotel offer, which is expected to have good snow conditions thanks to the drop in temperatures.

Valdelinares opens this Saturday and Javalambre will wait a few more days.

Also Astún and Candanchú

The ski resorts of Astún and Candanchú are working hard these days to start their winter season this Friday. The forecast is to enable up to 50 kilometres of slopes between the two. A free shuttle bus will be available between both winter resorts.

Aragon Nordic Spaces

The snowfalls of the last days have allowed that this coming weekend the Aragon Nordic Areas can open their season. At least four of them, Linza, Llanos del Hospital, Balneario de Panticosa and Pineta. The winter centers are working to be able to open as many routes as possible. At the moment this is the forecast:

  • Llanos del Hospital: It will open this Friday, December 13 with three open runs and 11 skiable kilometres of powder quality snow. Its three circuits will be open with thicknesses ranging from 30 to 100 centimetres thick.
  • Panticosa - Balneario: It will also have its three circuits operational from Friday with 5.5 km skiable and thicknesses of 40 to 90 cm powder snow.
  • Linza: The resort will start the season on Saturday, December 14. Located in the valley of Ansó, its circuits will be accessible after the improvements made in the area.
  • Pineta: In the Sobrarbe region, it will open on Saturday with 3 km skiable and thicknesses of 20 cm.

Investments of the Pyrenees Plan

This year, the Nordic Areas have had the support of the Pyrenees Plan, which has allowed several improvements to be made. Llanos del Hospital has received 555,190 € for the improvement and maintenance of the area, including a new artificial snow cannon.

Panticosa will also receive 77,119 € of investment for the snowmaking of the cross-country ski resort, and Linza will receive 349,950 for the purchase of new snowmaking equipment.950 € for the acquisition of a snow groomer and a snow cannon, as well as improvements in the refuge where the heating system will be renewed.

These investments seek to guarantee a safe and comfortable experience for users, in addition to boosting tourism in the mountain regions.
