1 Boost the terrace area

The cafeteria of the 2,200 level of the Baqueira Beret ski resort will be almost completely demolished to give way to a new, more modern building with better access and a wider terrace. The resort has already applied for all permits to start work. In this way, the last of the main restoration points that remain after the best of last season at the Cafetería del Bosc at the height 1,800 would be renewed.

This building, which currently houses a cafeteria and self-service area with a terrace , was built in the 1970s as the exit terminal of a ski lift. On the ground floor was the cafeteria area, while on the second floor a restoration area was created. Later when the device was dismantled in the '90s, a renovation was done again and the bar area was relocated on the top floor while creating a terrace.

Now the project includes the partial demolition of this characteristic building for its gray sheet walls, and the reconstruction of the outdoor terraces, where a light sunshade will be placed under which there will be a bar area, in the style of what you already have in the area of Blanhiblar .

With the reform will be used to make a change of the bathrooms of the premises, as well as the improvement of access for all types of skiers. In that area will go a lobby area with a small wooden terrace.

Boost the terrace area

The renovation also seeks a reduction in land occupation by relocating the terrace on the roof of the building. In this way, not only space is freed on land, but a panoramic space with 360º views is offered. However, this outdoor restoration area will occupy 573m2. For its part, the interior area will now be 435 m2, counting food, services, etc ...

The wooden floor terrace also includes a 12-meter diameter sunshade commissioned from an Austrian company specializing in this type of equipment for ski resorts. The roof will be made of cloth, but the walls of glass, all foldable for sunny days.

The project already has the favorable report of the Naut Aran City Council and works should begin this summer to open next season.
