Grandvalira has received more than a meter of new snow after a few days of heavy snowfall and low temperatures that have allowed the Andorran resort to be practically at full capacity for the month of February and with high expectations. In formidable snow conditions after the last snowfall, the premiere at the Grandvalira Adventure Center of the Snow Safety Camp by Black Diamond will take place, a fun and didactic high-level campus taught by the renowned mountaineers and high mountain guides with UIAGM Jonatan credential Larrañaga and Marc Toralles. The campus will be held on February 1 and 2, with a select group of 6 lucky people who have been selected through a contest on Instagram. In addition, on Saturday, February 1, the participants of the stay and all mountain lovers who wish, can enjoy in the Palau de Gel de Canillo the screening of the film 'Manaslu', Grand Prix to the Film Festival of Torelló mountain 2019 sponsored by Grandvalira.

 

One more weekend, the Gourmet Snow Club, a pioneering initiative in the Pyrenees for lovers of gastronomy and snow, will live a new culinary and social experience on Saturday, day 1 in the Grandvalira-El Tarter sector by the hand of businessman David Sueiro, who will bring from Galicia what for many is considered the best egg in the world.

 

Also on Saturday, day 1, various animations are expected at different points in the resort. From 12 noon, there will be a DJ performance in the Colibri chairlift area of the Grandvalira-Encamp sector, as well as performances by a magician in the restaurants of Grandvalira-Grau Roig Pulka (1pm) and 3 Estanys (2pm).

 

Adventure and family activities

 

The centers of each sector of the Ski and Snowboard School work at full capacity to meet the demands of skiers, including the Kids Program, a program that offers snowboard lessons from 3 years old using the new Burton Riglet methodology and which includes various activities within the Yökay, Bababoom Circus and Mon (t) Magic children's circuits.

 

Grandvalira also has its extensive catalog of activities that go beyond skiing, spread throughout the ski area. In the Mountain Park of the Grau Roig sector, the resort offers excursions with snowshoes, mushing, construction of igloos, orientation, Arva, archery, Snow Tubing and snowmobiles in the Cap del Port de Envalira. In El Tarter, users can enjoy mushing and First Snow, in addition to the variety of activities offered by the Grandvalira Adventure Center: freeride, mountain skiing, snowshoeing or heliski. The Mon (t) Magic Family Park of the Canillo sector will enable your family activities, such as the longest zip line in the Pyrenees or the thrilling alpine slide Magic Gliss and in the Soldeu sector the activities of First Snow, Snake Gliss, the route are maintained with Ratrac Groomers Ride and panoramic helicopter flights, in the Pla d'Espiolet.

 

Grandvalira, the only resort in Andorra that has certified high mountain guides, has its 4 Grandvalira Mountain Guides centers in Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig, Encamp and El Tarter as well as the El Tarter, Sunrise Xavi by Henrik Harlaut snowparks (sector Grau Roig) and Sunset Park Peretol by Henrik Harlaut (sector Grau Roig), the only one in the Pyrenees night that opens until 9pm.

 

 

The best Après-Ski in the Pyrenees

 

After the closure of the resort, the activity does not cease in Grandvalira. In the El Tarter sector, L'Abarset will once again showcase the best après-ski in the Pyrenees with the performance, on Saturday, February 1, by Hitch (Input Barcelona). At the Funicamp, Après-Amélie will live on Saturday, a session with DJ Ángel de Andrés, Sara de Araújo and Oriol Calvo; On Sunday 2, El Tardeo will offer the performances of Alcaraz and Imanol Molina.

 

More magical experiences amid the freshly fallen snow

 

At the gastronomic level, Grandvalira keeps 100% of the establishments open. Thus, customers have a wide offer distributed across the seven sectors of the domain and for all types of palates.
