Grandvalira arrives in March in magnificent conditions, after a month of February full of activities and fun and in full Carnival parties , which in the face of this weekend promise more emotions. To guarantee the best service for the skier, the exploitation team has continued to work intensively on the ground to guarantee the opening of 100% of the ski area for another week, with thicknesses ranging between 40 and 135 centimeters of snow.

In the short term, it is expected that good weather will be maintained as a usual tonic although with some weak rainfall and a decrease in temperatures that is already allowing to activate the canyons for growing snow. In addition, the largest resort in southern Europe has an endless catalog of services and activities to enjoy free access snow. Whether in family, with friends or as a couple.

Learning for all ages in the Ski and Snowboard Schools

All family members have guaranteed fun starting with the little ones, who have 4 nurseries in the Canillo , El Tarter, Soldeu and Grau Roig sectors. Children from 3 to 6 years old can discover the world of snow and skiing among the many offers offered by the Grandvalira Ski and Snowboard School such as the snow garden, the new Kids Program or the new Burton Riglet teaching methodology, that allows to learn snowboard from 3 years old. In addition, the largest resort in southern Europe also has children's ski circuits for skiers up to 12 years old: the Mon (t) Magic of the Canillo sector, with the longest thematic slope in southern Europe, the Kid Forest in Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig and Encamp, the Bababoom Circus de el Tarter circuit and the Yokai circuit of Soldeu. Adults, meanwhile, have in each sector of Grandvalira a center of the Ski and Snowboard School and more than 700 Instructors to offer classes - private or collective - in 6 languages focused on skiing, snowboarding and other snow disciplines to learn or perfect the technique.

Wide gastronomic offer for the little ones

Grandvalira has more than 60 restoration points, all operational and distributed throughout the domain, with a wide gastronomic offer that adapts to all tastes and needs. Also to the smallest, which among the wide range of children's menus that are in all the points of restoration of the resort, you can enjoy a delicious hamburger to the AndBurguer Zero of the Encamp sector or the Burguer Brothers of Grau Roig, to the exquisite pasta dishes of La Trattoria de El Tarter or the cannelloni and sweet desserts offered by the Pessons Lake Refuge.

To round off a perfect family plan, in Grandvalira there are a multitude of original and fun activities beyond skiing. The Snake Gliss the Soldeu sector, a set of articulated sleds that simulate a snake; and the 555 meter alpine slide Màgic Gliss or the zip line that allows to reach 80 km / h at the Mon (t) Magic of Canillo are some of the great claims for adrenaline-loving families.

Other activities demanded are snowshoeing at the Grandvalira Adventure Center in El Tarter or the construction of igloos and mushing at the Grandvalira Mountain Park in Grau Roig.

Dozens of terraces with music in the purest Alpine style

Grandvalira also has the perfect plan to enjoy the snow to the fullest with friends. Dozens of terraces with music in the purest Alpine style along the Andorran resort, are the perfect place to make a stop during the day or to end it in a relaxed and fun way. A must-visit deserve the IQOS of El Tarter and its lounge terrace with hammocks, the Amélie Experience in the Llac de Pessons and the exclusive bar with quality oysters, the Cala Bassa Beach Club Costa Redonda in the Pas de la Casa with the essence of Ibiza in the middle of the ski resort, the Veuve Cliquot de Soldeu terrace with its exclusive space and the two quintessential après-ski establishments in Andorra: L'Abarset and the Après Amélie.

Looking ahead to this weekend, Après Amélie del Funicamp will open its doors on Friday with music by Mario J in session El Tonteo. Saturday will be the turn of the Angel of Andrew in the House of Madness session. And on Sunday, in El Tardeo, Albors and Alcaraz will be invited as guest DJs and a VIP table for 5 people will be raffled through a contest on Instagram. On the other hand, L'Abarset , the après-ski reference establishment in the Pyrenees, will count on the presence of an internationally recognized DJ such as Anna Tur on Saturday.

Groups that are looking for more adventure have mountain skiing formations and excursions offered by the Grandvalira Mountain Guides and the Grandvalira Adventure Center , to safely discover idyllic corners of the resort and safely climb the most emblematic peaks of Andorra. Adrenaline fans who opt for the freeride, can enjoy the wildest side of the resort by the hand of highly qualified monitors and mountain guides of the Grandvalira Adventure Center of El Tarter or the Ski and Snowboard School in the rest of sectors.

Freestyle and projection campus by renowned rider Tyler Chorlton

Freestyle lovers will have at their disposal the three Snowparks (El Tarter, Sunrise Park Xavi by Henrik Harlaut and Sunset Park Peretol by Henrik Harlaut) and this weekend, the Soldeu and El Tarter centers of the Ski and Snowboard School organize the freestyle campus "Friendly Freestyle Fundamentals" ; for a select group of 4 lucky people chosen through an Instagram contest, by the famous rider resident in Andorra Tyler Chorlton, recognized for his creativity and style on snowboarding. Chorlton is one of the most renowned riders on the international stage and during the stay he will teach the secrets of elbow carve, a style created by himself that will bring this discipline to all consumers.

Chorlton will also be the protagonist of the projection of a compilation of films that will be broadcast on Saturday at 6.30 p.m. at the Canillo Ice Palace, highlighting among which "Duty Free", "California Carving", "Povery Chico" has participated ; and "Parrot" ;. Next, the best images of J. Guille González, an action specialist photographer, will be screened and will show his vision of sport and mountain life through his lens. The event will end with the drawing of a Bataleon table signed by Tyler Chorlton and a sheet by J. Guille González.

More freestyle and night skiing

To round off a 100% freestyle Saturday, the Sunset Park Peretol by Henrik Harlaut, the only night SnowPark in the Pyrenees, will open its doors until 9pm. On Saturday, if the weather conditions allow it, you can also enjoy an original and different night experience for lovers of skiing and snowboarding on the Solà / Tubs track, a blue suitable for all audiences located in the Pas de la House, open until 8pm.

Unique experiences as a couple

Grandvalira is ideal to enjoy as a couple 24 hours a day. The Top Class option is an exclusive learning service of the Ski and Snowboard School that can be enjoyed from the early hours of the morning. Mushing or snowmobiling are other alternatives to share unforgettable moments enjoying activities that go beyond skiing. You can also enjoy the natural environment of the resort in a relaxed and relaxed atmosphere on terraces such as the Llac de Pessons Refuge or live unique gastronomic experiences over 2,000 meters high, both day and night (some accompanied by a exercise). To round off a perfect evening, there is no better plan than to sleep at the resort at the hand of Epic Andorra, on embroideries (typical Andorran constructions), hot domes or cabins, surrounded by pure nature and under a blanket of stars.

Arcalís, world epicenter of freeride

Ordino Arcalís also arrives in March at full capacity and this week hosts the third event of the 2020 calendar of the Freeride World Tour , becoming the world epicenter of the off- slope competition with the best exponents of the moment on the international scene.
