Among more than 2,000 resorts in 67 countries around the world, the Grandvalira ski resort is in the Top 12 in number of ski days in the 2017-18 season . The study prepared by the Swiss consultant, Laurent Vanat positions Andorran dominance over big names such as the North American ones from the state of Colorado, Vail and Breckenridge and other resorts of long tradition such as Soelden (Austria), Tignes or Chamonix (France).

The Pyrenees resort earns 320,000 days of skiing in the last 5 seasons and scales 8 positions in the annual ranking. In recent years, Grandvalira has occupied the top 20 (2014 publication), the top 19 (2015), the top 15 (2016) and the top 14 (2017).

In the online version published by the Swiss expert on April 11, Grandvalira is the only resort in southern Europe located among the first 50 resorts analyzed . The study also reveals that the Andorran domain remains above recognized and traditional resorts.

La Plagne (France) continues one more year at the top of the classification, exceeding 2 million days of skiing, followed by resorts such as the Austrian, Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental or the French, Les Arcs .
