2.1 European Cup Final 2018, less than a year after the next big event

Grandvalira has already started working on organizing the Finals FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2019. There are still two years to Andorra and the ski celebrate the event more dimension of its history, and the organizing committee has already begun work on defining the sports project, which will put the country on the map of the Pyrenees. Thus, Grandvalira will be media focus from 11 to 17 March 2019, when the top 25 male and female skiers in the world fight for the title of the great white circus.

The stage of the competition: emblematic and mythical Avet Àliga

The iconic Avet slope, located in the Soldeu ski resort will host the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom. With a length of almost 1,200 meters, this slope has a maximum gradient of 60% with a north-west orientation that guarantees the quality of the snow.

For its part, SG Àliga slopes and make Àliga SL bird 's eye view "X" exactly like the Grandvalira logo. Their paths, disciplines that support both speed and technical respectively, were also approved by the FIS and have been renovating over the years to ensure the safety of skiers and entertainment. SG Àliga slope has a length of 2.17 kilometres, 60 meters wide and a height of 600 meters where competition skiers can exceed 120km / h speed.

The program

From 11 to 17 March 2019 the finals of the World Cup will be divided between slopes Àliga ski resort of El Tarter and Soldeu Avet Grandvalira ski resort. On Monday and Tuesday of that week will be reserved for training. On Wednesday 13 the Àliga slope will host the downhill (DH) on Thursday 14 the supergiant (SG) and will be held on Friday 15 will be the turn of the courses Team (National Team Event). During the weekend, the action will move to the Avet slope where Saturday will receive the female and male giant slalom and Sunday the program will be repeated in reverse.

European Cup Final 2018, less than a year after the next big event

A year before the celebration of the World Cup, Grandvalira will host for five days (from 13 to 18 March) Finals of the European Cup 2018. The sporting event will be addressed as before Finals 2019 World Cup test.
