Grandvalira enters the spring at full capacity with the weather and snow conditions more typical of the winter months. The last snowfall in the resort complements the already existing snow depths and today the snow level is between 130 and 235 cm. The Andorran domain has maintained practically 100% of its ski area opened since January 10. As of this date, the precipitations in the form of snow have been coming intermittently and abundantly, and the conditions have been and continue to be very optimal for the practice of white sports.
Looking ahead to next weekend and the Holy Week, Grandvalira plans to keep 100% of the slopes open with all the services of Ski and Snowboard School, restaurants, adventure activities as well as the Snowpark Xavi and Sunset Park Henrik Harlaut fully operational. For its part, El Tarter Snowpark is partially open in its upper part and south west area, reserving the lower part for the celebration of the Total Fight Masters of Freestyle that will take place from March 22 to 25.
Grandvalira once again hosts this season a new edition of the Total Fight Masters of Freestyle , the freestyle reference event in the Pyrenees, with the most powerful riders in the freestyle scene. Once again, El Tarter Snowpark will be the stage that will host this event full of spectacular jumps and fun, to be held from 22 to 25 March 2018 (Freeski and Snowboard).
The snowboarding competition is ELITE range, the highest range, with only seven events around the world, including the X Games of Aspen and Oslo. A reference test within the circuit, which brings together the best riders in the world, such as the world champion of the year 2015, Roope Tonteri, the world champion of the year 2012, Seppe Smits, or the second world ranking of the year 2014, Tyler Nicholson. In Freeski , the test is of GOLD range, one of the reference dates in the world calendar in the slopestyle discipline.
The Sierra Nevada National and Natural Park, the same that embraces the ski resort from which it takes its name, has been included in the IUCN 'Green List', which certifies that there can be coexistence between mountain and slopes.
