Grandvalira Resorts ski resorts face their best April in years

In one of the longest seasons in recent years, Grandvalira Resorts start the month of April with excellent snow conditions that guarantee good skiing during the remaining twenty days of opening. Thus, one more weekend, the Andorran domains have more than 250 kilometres of slopes to enjoy these spring days, with mild temperatures, but that will still bring some small snowfall from time to time to renew the snow cover.

Snow report in Grandvalira Resorts

 

  • Ordino Arcalísmaintains open 100% of its facilities with snow thicknesses that have risen to 250 cm accumulated, and has all its areas for freeride operational, a very important aspect for the JAM Extreme to be held this weekend and can enjoy the best conditions in recent years.
  • Pal Arinsalhas 93% of its skiable slopes with thicknesses that have also grown to 210 cm, the highest of the season. The Bike Park of the resort, meanwhile, has 100% of its circuits operational and offers a great opportunity to enjoy the Ski & Bike that makes possible the resort of La Massana.
  • Grandvalira also accumulates new thicknesses that reach up to 240 cm and has 165 km of slopes available.

Freeride spectacle with the Jam Extreme and fun with the Mamba Race

 

Ordino Arcalís will be filled with freeride spectacle on Sunday with the celebration of the 13th edition of the JAM Extreme FWTJ 3* 2025, the off-piste ski competition for young riders that is part of the international circuit Freeride World Tour Junior (FWTJ). A total of 120 skiers from 9 countries will push their skills to the limit in this event that takes on special importance, since it is the last one to take place in the Pyrenees and one of the last 3-star events in Europe.

Grandvalira's El Tarter ski area, meanwhile, will host on Saturday April 5 the Mamba Race by Joan Verdú, a crazy and fun competition created by skier Joan Verdú.The second edition of the race, created by the Andorran elite skier, will be presented tomorrow Thursday at a press conference, after the great success obtained last year.

 

 

 

 

Making the most of the season in Andorra

 

 

Ideal weekend for the practice of other modalities.

 

The large amount of accumulated snow and its good condition offer an ideal scenario for the practice of alternative sports to alpine skiing. It should be remembered that Grandvalira Resorts have marked areas for freeride, off-piste skiing, where safety is an essential feature to be able to practice it with peace of mind and guarantees.

The terraces will be the nerve center of the ski days, especially with the mild temperatures forecast for the coming days, with music and special programming. The IQOS Terrace in Soldeu will be animated all weekend by the electronic sound of DJ Tenke. On Friday, DJ Lia Jensen will also perform, bringing the energy of her electronic violin to the famous terrace, while on Sunday there will be a performance by artist Emma Regada. Ordino Arcalís will also be very lively with DJ music on the terrace of La Coma on Saturday and in Portelles on Sunday.

  • Thursday, April 3: San Miguel Sessions (never) Chill Thursdays, the resident DJs Viktor Ollé and Noe Osses will be in the booth of the famous après-ski club.
  • Friday, April 4: Patricia Mantovani will bring her house beats, followed by Eric Vëlycë and Laeet, combining techno and progressive house.
  • Saturday, April 5: Veteran DJ Oliver, a key figure of the Ibizan scene and exponent of house music since the 90s, will offer a session of classic house and techno. Also resident DJ Edu_Art will be playing.
  • Sunday, April 6th: New session "Friends & Family, we love 80's & 90's", a more relaxed meeting open to all generations with several local DJs.
