Greater comfort and new ski slope in the new features of Sierra Nevada 2024-2025

The Granada ski resort is committed to improving the quality of its facilities for the next ski season 2024-2025, in which we will see greater comfort on the lifts, as well as improvements on the slopes.

The total renovation of the 80 cabins of Borreguiles stands out. As reported in the newspaper Ideal de Granada, they are currently in a specialized workshop in France, where they will be completely unrecognizable. Basically, everything will be changed, except the base structure. Thus, from this coming ski season, the eight passengers will be able to travel comfortably in cushioned people. In addition, the windows have been replaced with new ones that will also be panoramic, which will allow a better view of the mountain.

The aim of this renovation, for which 2 million euros have been invested, is to have an appearance and level of comfort similar to the new Al-Andalus gondola lift, inaugurated last ski season.

But the improvement in the Borreguiles gondola lift will be noticeable long before getting on the lift. The access gallery will be completely renovated with a new coating. Signs and signage will also be changed for another more in line with the current commercial aesthetics of Sierra Nevada.

Another ski lift access that will be improved is that of the Telesilla Stadium. This winter, when the first skiers get on this sextiplaza, they will find a boarding terminal with more light and new cladding with Sierra Nevada stone.

As for new lifts, after last season's huge investment in the new Al-Andalus gondola lift and the double chairlift Puente I and II, this season is a year's pause. The only novelty is a new boarding belt to facilitate boarding the Borreguiles chairlift. It may not seem much, but this installation may increase the transport capacity by 20%, which will reduce queues at peak times of the ski season.

The Sierra Nevada snowpark also incorporates two new modules for this coming ski and snowboard season.

And what never fails any year is an improvement in the snow production system. This summer, 20 high and low pressure cannons have been installed. Eight of them are going on the 'new' Supergreen slope. This is a route that was already in use, but has now been signposted and incorporated into the piste plan.

At the foot of the slopes and in line with the ever-increasing demand, 38 charging points for electric vehicles (33 of 22 kv and 5 of 65 kv) have been installed on floor -3 of the car park lot.

And another service whose demand has grown a lot in recent years, as recalled by the Ideal de Granada, is the ski lockers. Three hundred are being installed, most of them in the upper station of the Al-Andalus gondola lift, thanks to its spaciousness after last year's renovation. This type of lockers for our equipment , can be rented per season, or per day, for example, for those who are going to spend a week on holiday.

Finally, as new remarkable elements, more large format LED screens and 55" high luminosity instructors have been installed, which will bring the total number of screens to almost 30 spread throughout the ski resort. There you can read information about the weather forecast.
