The Cerdanya ski resort reaches 100% of skiable kilometres

When we are at the gates of the month of March, the ski resort of Cerdanya is close to 100% of the operative skiable kilometres with 68 km open of a total of 74 that can offer the winter center.

The snowfall of the last days, especially on Thursday and Friday, with a height that plummeted from 1,800 m to the valley of the Cerdanya, the snow line fell below 1,000 meters thanks to the severe cold. Low temperatures have accompanied skiers all this weekend.

Sunday at 8 o'clock at night snow again and the forecast with this squall located in the Mediterranean is that it can still do so during Monday and Tuesday.

This will result in an unbeatable start of March, with temperatures below normal for the season throughout this first week of March.

Quality on the slopes

The snow is of quality thanks to the low temperatures and the dry environment that keeps it powdery throughout the ski areaand with a weather marked by the cold and the sun, which has been especially protagonist during this Sunday.

Skiers who enjoyed night skiing on Saturday night also enjoyed optimal conditions and were surprised by a persistent, weak to moderate snowfall.

The good condition of the slopes also allowed skiers to fully enjoy all the black slopes of the Isards - El Tub ski area, slopes that made expert skiers enjoy.

At this moment, the Ceretan resort has 100% of the skiable slope operational, with 935 m of vertical drop, from the top of the Tosa - 2,535 m to the Pla de Masella - 1,600 m. In addition, all the bases of the resort are open, i.e., La Pia - 1,700m, Pla de Masella - 1,600m and Coma Oriola - 1,950m.

Current state of the slopes and facilities:

  • Slopes: 64 slopes totaling 68 skiable km.
  • Ski Areas: 9 open ski areas (Pla de Masella, Bosc d'Alp, Cap del Bosc, Coma Oriola, Coma Pregona, La Pleta, La Pia, Dues Estacions, la Tosa and Isards - el Tub).
