News 2018/19 at the Val Thorens resort

The main improvement that has been carried out in the Val Thorens station is destined to replace the oldest snow cannons with the latest generation in the market and the revision of the entire production system. In total there are 440 pipes and 13 machine rooms that cover practically the entire ski area of the station.

On the other hand, the Val Thorens chairlift company has decided to place a new and innovative double zip line in 3 sections. This will move users from the top of the Moutière chairlift to Place Caron, the center of the complex. In addition, 3 new pisapista machines with hybrid engines will be added to the fleet.

Continuing with the improvements, new slopes are added to station 2, a blue accessible to all from La Cima del Caron that will allow you to descend the legendary summit of the 3 Vallées and create a new itinerary. And another new black slope in the sector of Boismint Chairlift.

Finally, the last improvement is the expansion of 4 new itineraries. Thanks to the inauguration of La Camille last year. Also the total investment of all these actions amount to a total of 450,000 euros, most of this money will be used to improve the artificial snow network.
