The Tristaina gondola lift will increase its transport capacity

After an "extraordinary" winter season, Secnoa's board of directors has decided to increase the investment by one million euros more than foreseen in the resort's master plan, signed by Secnoa and the Ordino common.

Thus, in the 2023-2024 season, more than two million euros will be allocated to different improvements that will become a reality from this summer.

The first investment will materialize in the expansion of the transport capacity of the Tristaina gondola lift, by 33%, with six new cabins in June. The lift, one of the most important projects of the new stage of the ski resort with SAETDE, has twenty cabins, but 11 more can be installed. The improvement of the snowmaking system is another of the actions to be carried out for next season.

Regarding the quality of the service and the improvement of the user experience, in the short term there will be an expansion of the Els Planells beginners' area and the ticket office area. Electric chargers will be installed in the car park area, also meeting the criteria of sustainability and emissions reduction in compliance with Agenda 2030 and the ODS, according to the policy followed by the Ordino common in terms of sustainability.

Aimed at all types of public, in the coming weeks the summer activities that the resort will offer with the reopening of the summer season, scheduled for June 3, will be unveiled.

The major consul of Ordino, Josep Àngel Mortés, showed a great satisfaction for the informed decision to extend the investments for the improvement of the resort.n, as he concluded " a fact that serves to ratify the wisdom of the concession of the station", five seasons after the signing in June 2018.
