Ordino Arcalís was the last of the Grandvalira Resorts to end the summer-autumn season, and it did so this past weekend with the closure of the access to the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint. One more year, this spectacular circular structure located at an altitude of 2,700 m from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Ordino valley and the Tristaina lakes has been one of the most visited attractions in the country during the summer season, which can be easily accessed through the Creussans chairlift and the Tristaina gondola lift. The latter, with its glass-floored cabins, completes a truly impressive high-altitude experience, offering spectacular views during the ascent.
70,000 visitors have enjoyed the summer proposal.
Only during this last weekend, which coincided with the celebration of All Saints' Day, Ordino Arcalís has been visited by almost 3.Since June 8, the first day on which the access to the Mirador Solar de Tristaina was opened, the resort has registered 70,000 visitors who have enjoyed during the summer and autumn of the natural landscape of the Ordino valley, recognized as a Biosphere Book by UNESCO. This figure consolidates once again the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint as one of the most visited attractions in Andorra, although this year the adverse weather, especially on weekends, has conditioned the rate of visits.
The Ordíno Solar Viewpoint
Hikers have been able to enjoy the summer offer of the resort, which, in addition to the Tristaina viewpoint, is a paradise for nature lovers and fans of cycling and mountain biking. Thus, the final stretch of the Coma road has been closed for another year so that cyclists could enjoy the last 4.5 kilometres without road traffic. Hikers, meanwhile, have been able to participate in the themed outings of the Grandvalira Mountain Guides and share their expertise in special outings such as those that propose to make a mountain outing on full moon nights or observe the solar phenomenon of the Arcalís peak that occurs every year on August 7.
The gastronomic element has not been missing in the Ordino valley, which has completed the experience with the high mountain cuisine and rice dishes of the Restaurant La Coma, and that of the Sorteny Refuge, with more traditional dishes of Andorran cuisine. The latter has welcomed 1,770 people who have stayed overnight in the days of opening between June 1 and November 3.

Good prospects for the opening of the ski slopes
Ordino Arcalís is now facing the last stage of preparations for the opening of the ski slopes scheduled for November 30, weather permitting. In this sense, the current prospects are good, with the first snowfall received at high altitudes in recent weeks and the station hopes to open the snow season as soon as possible.
