Port Aine celebrates the 30th anniversary of its founding

This Saturday, January 21, has held an official ceremony in the village of Port Ainé Rialp and to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the ski resort.

Inaugurated 1986 Port Aine is in the area of influence of the municipality of Rialp, in the massif of Orri and the fantastic natural setting that offers the region culd in the Pyrenees. Its privileged situation, with 95% of the slopes oriented north side, allows you to enjoy a favorable climate and excellent quality powder snow throughout the season.

The ceremony was attended by the mayors of Sort and Rialp, Raimon Monterde and Gerard Sabarich; President of the Regional Council of culd, Carles ISUS; and the president of Railways of the Generalitat, Enric Ticó.

It highlights the importance of the implementation of the Port Aine Station for the revitalization of the territory, particularly in the area of influence of Sort, Rialp and reminded Soriguera. But I also wanted to pay tribute to all those who bet on the region and made possible the ski resort, including its founder, Josep Mesegué i UTGE. "Thanks to its task, Port Aine now generates more than 220 direct and indirect jobs," said Enric Ticó.

And three decades later, this season the Pyrenees of Lleida has become the omarca c culd a benchmark ski and mountain. In September 2011, Railways of the Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) took into account the management of Port Aine with the will to continue the revitalization of the territory, thus promoting the heritage of skiing in their resorts Cerdanya, Ripollès and Pallars not only in winter but also in summer.
