Sierra Nevada exceeds 90 skiable kilometers and reaches 2 meters of snow

The Granada resort has surpassed on Wednesday the 90 ski kilometres , the largest area in the winter season, due to the conditioning of new slopes after the last snowfall, which, in some areas, has allowed to increase the thickness to 2 meters.

The areas most benefited by the last snowfall, which have accumulated 15 centimeters more snow during the past night, have been Cauchiles-Parador and Loma de Dilar, the areas less exposed to the wind.

Thanks to these precipitations, there have been new openings in Parador-Cauchiles , where it is already possible to ski - almost entirely - along the slope of El Águila, the longest in Sierra Nevada (almost 6 kilometres) and one of the most beautiful skiable domain, starting near the summit of Veleta and ending in Pradollano.

In that area, where you can also ski in the World Cup (partial), Direct or Boulevard, the Virgin de las Nieves chairlift comes into operation, with which the Granada resort already has its 21 mechanical means in operation.

In addition to recovering slopes such as the Veleta Tube (Veleta zone), the resort will also open new routes in the Laguna de la Yeguas (Dorada and Henry), and Loma de Dílar (Peñón del Dílar, Genciana, Puente), while keeping the Snow production to assess new additions to the snow part.
