This weekend has begun the race to open the season, a mass of cold air has entered the peninsula and has been accompanied by heavy snowfall . If you have been aware of the news, many roads have already had to use chains and many towns have suffered the first power cuts and snow problems. On the other hand, in the ski resorts, the rains have arrived with enthusiasm and they have quickly set to work to be able to work as soon as possible on slopes .

In order to start working, the resorts must have sufficient thickness and although the snowfall has been abundant, it must be taken into account that in many seasons "nothing" has fallen and the ground was dry. This is not the case of ski resorts such as Sierra Nevada , La Molina or Masella that have already started up their snow production system .

The winter resort that most bet in this first snow has been the Andalusian resort (sierra nevada); more than a hundred cannons have been placed in the beginners area in Borreguiles and on the El Río slope to Pradollano .

Also, the forecast is that the snowfall will continue until next week and winter temperatures will be maintained. From now on, the ski resorts will begin to prepare and produce snow in order to start the season as soon as possible. Keep in mind that until the snow machines can not start working on tracks, the resorts will not be able to open their doors .
