The ski and mountain resort of Sierra Nevada yesterday reached 100 skiable kilometres distributed over 122 slopes), the longest skiable length since the 2018/19 season, thanks to the accumulations of snow recorded over the past weekend, with up to 2 meters in areas such as Borreguiles
The opening of almost all the slopes in the Laguna area and a good part of the runs in the Parador-Cauchiles area has allowed Sierra Nevada to reach the last third of the hotel offer in the best moment of the 23/24 winter exercise.
In addition, the resort is recovering some of the facilities affected by the storm, such as the snowpark, which from this weekend will have about 30 modules on both sides of the ski lift.The snowpark, which from this weekend will have about 30 modules on both sides of the Loma de Dílar chairlift, as well as a platform in the big jumps ski area, which will be used for the Spanish Slopestyle Championship on the weekend of March 23 and 24.
The Fun Trail is one of the novelties of the season.
Meanwhile, this weekend the resort will host four official sports competitions: the trophies of bumps Reyes Santa Olalla and Nazarí, as well as alpine skiing White Camp and Club Monachil, both scoring for the Jesús Serra inclusive trophy.

Sierra Nevada opens this weekend its four fully themed slopes, one of the novelties of the ski resort for the 2023/24 season, which aim to make the ski day more fun for children and their parents.
Thus, to the El Mar slope, which had allegorical elements of the seabed, new figures and ski circuits have been added before reaching the mouth of the shark, which is one of the icons of the slope.
Further down, in the beginners' area, is the Kids Fun Trail, where young skiers will be able to interact with forest and mountain animals and descend a skills circuit.
New themed ski trails in Sierra Nevada for children's skiers
In the Loma de Dilar area, the Family Fun Trail has been installed, where children and families will be able to go down the slopes by drawing interactive elements, including punching bags, spinning hands, a coin to crash, a Xylophone and a tunnel to make the descent more fun.
In the Cauchiles ski area there is a circuit with totems indicating the entrance and exit of the Iberian fauna: the Cauchiles Fun Trail, where users will also find different elements to interact with, such as rotating hands, punching bags, bumping hands and a xylophone.
