1 Good start to the season.

The regional Tourism Office of Pallars Sobirà in Sort has been the centre of attention for the presentation of the new season 2016/2017 of Espot and Port Ainé. Both Ski Resorts have exhibited all the novelties that can be discovered during these upcoming months.

The welcome party, which took place at 7:30pm relied on the presence of the President of the Railways of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Enric Ticó. During the ceremony, the good start to the season of both resorts stood out and the president thanked the hard-working employees for promising great snow conditions.

The season's novelties which stand out are the refurbishment of the hotel rooms in Port Ainé and the refurbishment of the Cafeteria de la Cota 2000 in Espot Esquí.

The Ski Resorts in Espot and Port Ainé started the winter season 2016/2017 on Saturday 2nd December, coinciding with the December bank holiday. From the 3rd to the 11th both touristic destinations received a total of 15.238 visitors: 6.200 in Espot and 9.038 in Port Ainé.
