1 A World Cup Village bigger than ever
2 Calendar of activities of the Ski Festival

The Women's Alpine Ski World Cup in Soldeu is not only sport. The organization has designed an ambitious program of activities parallel to the competitions to surprise and entertain all kinds of audiences, from the most fanatical skiing to the most generalist. One of the novelties this year is the expansion of the World Cup Village, which will occupy the entire Soldeu platform during the weekend of February 10 and 11, after the success of the initiative during the 2023 World Cup Finals.

The Ski Festival, which is the name of this playful and festive aspect of the event, will start on Friday, February 9 at 6:30 pm with the public Bib Draw, which will be held again at L' Abarset (El Tarter ski area of Grandvalira). It will be the moment when the public, from the youngest to the oldest, will be able to have a closer look at the runners, with a show full of light, sound and emotions that will serve to draw the bibs of the 15 best runners in the world that the next day will compete in the Giant Slalom, and that will count, as usual, with the involvement of children from different ski clubs in Andorra.

The World Cup Village will be the focal point for fans of the Alpine skiing World Cup.

A World Cup Village bigger than ever

As for the World Cup Village, both Saturday and Sunday, from 9.30 am to 4 pm, visitors will find at the foot of the Avet slope an area of more than 7.000 m2 with an exhibitors' area with the best snow and mountain sports brands (Blizzard, Tecnica, Nordica, Head, Rossignol, Dynastar, Volkl, K2, Atomic, etc.) that will organize free games and ski tests.

This year, in addition, there will be businesses in the snow ski area that are strongly committed to sustainability, such as Nomad Face (sustainable sunscreen) or Rip'N'Wood (wooden skis), among others.

The World Cup Village will also offer leisure activities in the form of games, workshops, crafts, archery, axe throwing, as well as a children's escape room for which prior registration is required. There will be dance shows by Líquid Dansa, dj's sessions , entertainment shows, autograph signings by the skiers, a skiing competition, a skiing competition, a skiing competition, a skiing competition and a skiing competition. There will also be a giant screen to follow the Avet competition and the live connection with the races of the Andorran racers Joan Verdú and Axel Esteve in Bansko (Bulgaria).

One of the focal points of the World Cup Village will be the Social Point, a pop-up that will become the meeting point for ski fans and will incorporate the official merchandising store of the event; a space with actions to dynamize and promote the candidature for the World Cup.The World Cup Village will also have an exclusive World Cup interactive space that will include different raffles, a talk on nutrition and sport by the World Cup nutritionist, Marta Pons, as well as the participation of the Andorra Women's Association (ADA), among others.

Finally, there will also be a gastronomic area for all audiences and all times of the day, which will include a foodtruck with products from Andorra and ''La Nomad'', the foodtruck of Grandvalira, which will offer hot chocolate, broth and mulled wine.

The Ski Festival will be completed with the attractive après-ski program offered by L'Abarset from Wednesday, February 7, between 16:00 and 22:00. The highlights will be the disc jockey Franky Rizardo, one of the leading exponents of the Dutch electronic scene, who will perform on Saturday, February 10, and the Volunteers Party on Sunday, which will put the finishing touch to the Soldeu 2024 World Cup.

The bib draw will kick off the Ski Festival Andorra 2024.
