Summer skiing starts on June 22 in Tignes and opens a cable car with a terrace

The Tignes ski resort will open its doors to the summer ski season on June 22. In addition, a new panoramic cable car of the Grande Motte will be released, with an outdoor terrace that will allow a 360-degree view over the MontBlanc, the National de la Vanoise and the glacier.

It has taken 3 years of work to adapt the highest panoramic terrace in the world in a cable car. The two lower cabins have a transport capacity of 100 people each and on the terrace 20 people. Here is an image of the cable car:

This new “attraction” of the Tignes glacier as well as the other ski lifts that are put into operation for summer skiing will be operational from June 22 to August 30.
