La Molina, Vallter 2000, Vall de Núria, Espot and Port Ainé have closed the 2016-2017 season with a total of 610,206 users , from the bridge from November to April 17, the last day of the winter season. This figure translates to an increase of 28.09% compared to the 2015-2016 season . Without doubt, the new commercial policy of the Grup FGC with an adaptation of the prices to the social demand and the heavy snowfall in the Catalan resorts have been the key factors in the positive results of this season.
As for the final number of visitors during the 2016-2017 season is distributed as follows: La Molina: 330.491 Vall de Núria: 40,856 Skipallars (Espot and Port Ainé): 179,551 Vallter 2000: 59,308
La Molina has recorded the best season of its entire history over the 2008-09 season, which until today was the best. This winter has received the visit of 330,491 users, that is, 37.37% more than the previous year (240,588). In addition, the resort has been opened almost 100% throughout the season , with extraordinary conditions of quantity and quality of snow. During the winter months the resort has organized a wide range of activities and events, sporting and recreational, such as international, state, regional, and material and product tests.
However, there has also been an increase in visitors to complementary activities other than skiing: snowshoeing, tubbing , machine trips, high-altitude dinners and evening descents, slalom , etc.
Vall de Núria Vall de Núria, meanwhile, has closed the winter season with a total of 40,856 tickets sold, a figure much higher than the previous edition (29,642), or 37.83% more. Among the activities and events organized by Vall de Núria include the activities of the Bautizo with snowshoes, as well as night excursions with snowshoes on full moon nights, which has been made once a month.
The Pallars Sobirà resorts have received 179,551 people, which means a 1.08% increase and consolidation of growth in recent years. The best results have been obtained during the bridge of the Purísima and the Christmas holidays: during Christmas and Reyes there has been a 44% increase in visitors compared to the previous season. Since the beginning of the season, significant snow depths have been maintained and Port Ainé has been the only resort on the peninsula that has maintained 100% open runs almost until the last day of the season.
Among the activities and events that Espot Ski has hosted this season are the absolute Championships of Catalonia, the Alpine Ski Championships in Spain, the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the season, social races and the ninth edition of the Espot Tamarro Race. Port Ainé, on the other hand, has been the scene of various sporting activities, such as the Catalunya Mini Freestylers Championship, social races and the Gallfer race, and fun, such as cheese and wine tasting.
Vallter 2000 recorded very positive results this winter from 2016 to 2017 with the visit of 59,308 people, a figure that translates into an increase of 107.91% compared to the previous season (28,526). This season is the best since FGC takes over, with unbeatable conditions of snow accompanied by a good commercial offer with new services specially designed for the smallest (toy library). Among the most important events carried out include: Onchoesquiada VI, the 16th Marmota Trophy or the celebration of World Snow Day .
