The Soldeu platform is already underway

The tracks of Soldeu have always been separated from the population by a small river that has had to be drawn by a bridge . This stamp has already changed as the infrastructure has improved.

This next season 2018-2019 that bridge will be buried by a huge platform that is being built this summer. This infrastructure is designed to house the final line of the Alpine Ski World Cup Final that Grandvalira will host in February.

This incredible platform already has 6 beams placed ! This work may be one of the most important in Andorra since the tunnels of Les Dos Valires will be completed . Only the base needs the placement of 16 beams over 90 meters long and weighing 170 tons each.

The placement of the beams is so complex that it has had to pave the slope of the Gall del Bosc as the road reaches about 100 m from where the platform is being built and there was no way to lower the beams to the construction site. When these works are finished , the mountain will be restored so that it will remain as it was .

It is expected that during the month of August all the beams will be placed and the ground will begin to work on the platform. When this impressive work finishes the skiers will be able to arrive directly at the lift without going through the bridge and over an area that among other things will house in the basements, a car park for almost 500 vehicles .
