With a total of 143 of 143 days of opening, the Grandvalira ski resort has kept the ski domain open every day provided in the calendar for the 2018-19 season. And it has done so defending a winter campaign marked by the irregularity of rainfall in which it has snowed just over half that of the previous season (4m 65cm vs 8m 36cm).
The field teams have accumulated a total of 28,343 hours of snowmobile machines , an indicator that exemplifies the rhythm of intense and continuous work to ensure the best conditions to the slopes. Thanks to this push in the deployment of human and technical resources (also in terms of the production of crop snow) the resort has been able to offer an average of 160 km of operational tracks , being the largest open ski area in the Peninsula throughout the season
On its 15th anniversary, Grandvalira ends the snow campaign with results in line with the influx figures achieved in the 2017-18 season , when it ended with 1,800,000 passes sold, the best season ever. With regard to the economic part, The Snow Domain does not give exact figures but announces record revenues and already chains a total of 7 seasons of growth.

An indicator of the season that also contributes to explain this positive billing data is the increase in the penetration in the consumption of resort services such as restoration and adventure activities, a fact that consolidates the global offer that goes even further. beyond skiing
The Spanish market has exhibited a favorable behavior, maintaining similar figures to the previous season, while the Russian customer has suffered a decline , among other reasons, for the firm commitment that this country has made in promoting domestic snow tourism towards destinations such as Sochi, home of the 2014 Winter Olympics. For its part, Grandvalira has not noticed an immediate effect by which it makes the political process of 'Brexit' and the UK market has been rising in terms of volume of influx.
Grandvalira has invested for this season 2018-19 a total of 35.4 million euros mainly destined to new infrastructures (ski platform that connects the Avet slope with the town of Soldeu) and to optimize and improve the experiences of its customers with the objective of continue to remain the reference resort in southern Europe. The investments that have received a more remarkable reception are those made in the improvement of slopes oriented to the public of debutante and average level , the reinforcement of the canyon network and the new alpine slide Màgic Gliss , among others.
This also shows the good results achieved in satisfaction surveys conducted by an external consultant (sample of 14,000 season 2018-19) with a global resort score of 8.59 out of 10 that exceeds 8.37 of the latest surveys made the 2016-17 season.
As for the Ski and Snowboard School and the restoration, users have evaluated the quality of services by granting a median grade of 8.79 and 8.19, respectively. These valuations show that customers enjoy a very positive experience and that they are satisfied with the season.

The 2018-19 season has concentrated sports celebrations of great international relevance for Grandvalira and Andorra. The main media focus has been the Alpine skiing World Cup finals that took place from 11 to 17 March to the sectors of Soldeu El Tarter with great sporting and organizational success, a key historical milestone for the promotion of the season and from the country as well as from the Pyrenees.
Also in Grandvalira the 15th edition of the Total Fight Masters of Freestyle has been contested with a selection of the most talented riders on the international scene who returned to the Snowpark El Tarter to show off great tricks, both in the snowboard mode and in freeski In addition, the Kilometer Launched World Cup finals celebrated a new edition with record participation and with very good reception by the fastest runners in the world on the Riberal slope of the Grau Roig sector.
