February is a month of high season in the ski resorts. The days lengthen, the temperatures are not so cold, the mountains look white and all this makes you go skiing , or just climb the snow to spend the day to take pictures , excursions , or to eat at some restaurant on the foot of clues , they end up being a claim for thousands of people. And that is what is happening in Vallter 2000 for a couple of weekends.
Yesterday, Saturday and Sunday, the resort was forced to close the accesses between 11 in the morning and two in the afternoon . An identical situation to the one experienced last week. The almost 1,000 car park spaces offered by Vallter, specifically 987 distributed among 6 platforms, have been surpassed by the high influx of vehicles.
According to data confirmed by the resort, they have spent both Saturday and Sunday, up to 3,000 visitors / day . This does not imply that it is the same number of skiers who slide along the slopes of the Vall de Camprodon resort, since a part of these may be practicing mountain skiing on the various itineraries offered by the area or, simply , are companions of other skiers or tourists who go up to the slopes to spend the day in the snow.

The Sierra Nevada National and Natural Park, the same that embraces the ski resort from which it takes its name, has been included in the IUCN 'Green List', which certifies that there can be coexistence between mountain and slopes.
