The Zell am See - Kaprun ski area, famous for the Schmittenhöhe mountain and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier near the village of Kaprun, consists of three ski resorts with a total of almost 150 km of slopes: Kitzsteinhorn/ Maiskogel - Kaprun 61 km and Schmittenhöhe 77 km.Also notable for its stunning location, the pedestrianized town center of Zell am See towers over the edge of Lake Zell.

Directly above Zell am See is Schmittenhöhe, a sunny, family-friendly ski resort. In the same village of Kaprun is Maiskogel, a resort surrounded by trees and intermediate slopes, while the glacier ski resort of Kitzsteinhorn offers a unique alpine experience with ideal slopes for the advanced skier and dreamy snow. In addition, the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn attracts skiers and snowboarders from all over the world.

The ski area of the resort of Zell am See - Kaprun has 150 km of slopes, mainly noted for its breathtaking views, a mountain landscape with a panoramic view of up to 30 mountains over 3,000 m high. The famous Hohe Tauern National Park!

It is a family ski destination. At the foot of the Schmittenhöhe cable car and in Schüttorf you will find a beginners' area, both with canyons. For beginners, the upper parts of Schmittenhöhe have excellent blue runs.
