The access to the car park lot of the Anayet ski area in the ski resort ofFormigalwill be renovated this fall to be ready before the start of the winter season. The work project includes the renovation of the road surface up to the car park area and the machine hangar for the ski resort in the Aragonese Pyrenees.

Specifically, the road surface will be rehabilitated and the road will be improved from the junction with the A-136 called "Corral de las Mulas" to the area around the roundabout in the Aragonese Pyrenees.The road from the intersection with the A-136 called "Corral de las Mulas" to the area around the traffic circle in front of the ticket offices and the facilities of the Anayet Zone, as well as the accesses to the workshop that the Formigal ski resort has at this 1800 m altitude , will be rehabilitated and the road will be improved.

The length of the road axis is approximately 2,250 meters with an average width of 7.8 meters, with an approximate total of about 17,550 m2. The works also include the access to the maintenance workshop of Anayet of about 1,500 m2, and the car park area in front of the workshop with a surface of 100 m2, which makes the total of the works cover a total of approximately 19,150 m2.

Anayet is one of the four entrance gates to the ski area, together with Sextas, the first one for skiers arriving from Spain; Sarrios, the second and more alititud access, and Portalet , which is the closest to the border with France.

The work is necessary due to the poor condition of the roadway along the entire section of this access road to Anayet, with deficiencies that affect safety, user comfort and the durability of the pavement. Inclement weather conditions, snowplows and actions to avoid ice and snow during the winter season cause the rapid deterioration of the road.

In addition to the wear and tear during the winter season, the passage of heavy vehicles during periods of construction and refurbishment of the resort outside the ski season has also deteriorated this access in recent years. Althoughrepairs and patchinghave been carried out every year in the most deteriorated areas, the duration of these repairs is now very limited due to the poor condition of the base of the road.

Thus, after these years of intensive use, the access road has a deteriorated road surface , with cracks and potholes and needs to be repaired.

Special attention should be paid to the finish in the areas of most public use and where there is movement of customers on foot, access stairs to the building, ticket offices, access to tracks.
