Val d'Isère is opening with a new chairlift on the Daille!

On Tuesday , May 1, the Val d'Isère ski resort ended the winter season 2017 - 2018 and also the end of an era . Since it was the last day of operation of the chair lift of the Daille.

This chairlift flies over the slope OK (Killy Pillow) and was built in 1966 and renovated in 1994. And since this year it is history. It will be replaced by a new luxury model with 10 seats .

These new gondolas will have heated seats , a much larger interior, panoramic views, sliding doors ... It will also carry 10 people so the final flow is 2,800 people per hour (before 933 people). And the rise will take place in only 4.30 min (before 9 min).

On the other hand, the renovation will have 50 Premium Symphony cabins with 10 seats and one VIP. These impressive cabins have been created by the Italian designer Pininfarina (Ferrari and Maserati). A new generation of chair lifts that will provide safety, comfort and modernity. This new change in the Val d'Isère resort will have an investment of 10 million euros . Also, the French company will eliminate the Étroits chairlift as part of its commitment to Green Globe.
