La Plagne ski resort is definitely an excellent choice to spend your Christmas Break as it's one of the top family ski resorts in Europe!

If you're wondering if La Plagne is good for beginners, the answer is yes. Out of a total of 127 runs, 72 are blue and 30 are red. Most part of this french ski area is on a plateau where there are wide and easy slopes for you to gain some confidence.

Will there be snow during December?

The ski resort lies at an altitude of 3,250 metres and the slopes go all the way down to 1,250 metres. So, the answer is definitely yes. La Plagne ski resort is expected to open on December 15 ;)

What is there to do in La Plagne if you don't ski?

There's loads of other activities you and the kids can do besides skiing. How about trying bobsleigh track?

La Plagne was initially known for having the local take part in bobsleigh competitions. They have a track that is open to holidaymakers at the end of the afternoon. You should definitely give it a go! What a rush!

There are also other activities like sledding and Airbord, which is an inflatable body board.

How do you get to La Plagne?

The heart of the Alps is Chambéry, so, if you fly into Chambéry Airport, you can take a bus transfer to La Plagne ski resort and it will take around 90 minutes. If, however, you fly into Geneva or Lyon, the bus transfer will take about 2 hours and 30 minutes, approximately.
