Boí Taüll will inaugurate the first phase of its zip line this summer.

The ski resort of Boi Taüll will open this summer the first phase of one of the longest zip lines in our country with the aim of expanding the range of summer activities of the winter resort, deseasonalize the mountain center and ensure the tourist exploitation almost all year round.

The first phase of the project, which will include the construction of an initial 200-meter section, is scheduled to be inaugurated this summer. The second phase will complete the route, which will end at the car park lot near the L-501 road.

The one that will open this summer is a 200m long double zip line (T200), suitable for family audiences and all ages. It will have a relatively relaxed descent where the main attraction is to enjoy the scenery along the route.

This zip line, from which two people can be launched simultaneously, is suitable for families of all ages and begins its descent from the current terrace of the building of the ski resort to reach the ravine near the car park lot of Pla de Vaques.

Technical data T200:

- Starting elevation: 2053.40m
- Arrival elevation: 2036.10m
- Length: 200 meters
- Cables: 2 of 16 mm diameter
- Slope: 17.30m.
- Slope: 8.50% (4.90º)
- Capacity: 40 descents/hour
- Investment: 650,388.36 €

The 1000m long double Super Tyrolean traverse (T1000), which offers a panoramic and vertiginous flight from the Pla de Vaques area to the car park lot at the bend in the L-501 road, flying over the valley of the Riuet de Molleres with a panoramic view of the valley and from which two people can be launched simultaneously, is left for later on.

Technical data T1000:

- Departure elevation: 2037.20 meters
- Arrival elevation: 1935.00 meters
- Length: 1000 meters
- Cables: 2 of 20 mm diameter
- Slope: 102.20 meters.
- Slope: 10.00% (5.80º)

In red the first phase of the zip line. In yellow phase 2

Users of the T200 can decide at the end of this route if they want to continue the experience by changing cables to jump on the T1000. If they do not wish to do so, they will return on foot for those 200 meters.

Those who want to do the T1000, will access through the T200, and once down in the car park lot of the curve of the L-501 road, they can go to a meeting point where they will be taken back to the station by a minibus.

This implies, therefore, the adequacy of this car park located below. The entire surface of the car park lot will be paved and the horizontal signage will be painted to delimit the car park spaces for the vehicles, as well as the car park area for the return collective transport and the delimitation of the traffic lanes.

The equipment will have very careful safety measures that will include a sophisticated self-braking system to ensure the safety of users, and will allow solo or two-person simultaneous descents. This zip line will be the sixth longest in Spain:

Ordesa zip line: 2036 meters.
Fuentespalda Tyrolean traverse: 1980 meters
Liébana Tyrolean traverse: 1600 meters
Tirolina of Alhaurín de la Torre: 1350 meters
Pisuerga zip line: 1300 meters
Boi Taull zip line: 1,000 + 200 meters (in project)
Valley of Tena zip line: 950 meters

The Boí Taüll ski resort, located in Alta Ribagorça, is thus making a further effort to diversify its activities, adapt to changing climatic conditions and increase the volume of local and international visitors.

Apart from winter activities, Boí Taüll Resort hosts every summer family activities for all ages, such as digital gymkhanas, a fun activity to learn, relate to the environment, culture and heritage of the valley, doing a healthy physical activity while enjoying the mountain, or guided hiking or e-bike excursions.

Particularly noteworthy is the Garmin Mountain Festival, which this year reaches the tenth edition of one of the reference events of the trail running scene. It offers a wide program of activities in which the Epic Trail has a special role, with a proposal of four distances ranging from the 63 kilometres of the Ultra to the 12 kilometres of the Speed, through the distances Marató, of 42 km, and Sky, of 26 km.

La Vall de Boí is a privileged setting with a unique natural and cultural heritage, where the National Park of Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici and Romanesque art are the main protagonists hosting a festival of outdoor sports that combines mountain races, yoga, Nordic walking, orienteering and all the adventure sports that have a place in this corner of the Pyrenees.
