Grandvalira Resorts have presented this Wednesday morning the offer of adventure, family and gastronomic activities for the summer season 2024 in an event that has taken place in the restaurant La Coma de Ordino ArcalíThe event was led by the general manager of Grandvalira Resorts, Juan Ramón Moreno; the director of Ordino Arcalís, Israel Ramonet; and the general manager of Pal Arinsal, Josep Marticella. Once again, the three Andorran domains offer a multitude of proposals for all audiences.

"We have a very consolidated summer product, which is unique and varied, the forecast in terms of visitors is to remain at similar figures to last summer, when about 180,000 visitors were received, without taking into account the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, where more than 80,000 people are expected to come."

Expansion of the Grandvalira E-Bike project

One of the main novelties this season is the expansion of the Grandvalira E-Bike project, which debuted last summer and this year already reaches 102 kilometers of circuits, eight more than in 2023, with several improvements incorporated, especially regarding the signage of all of them. Josep Marticella explained that

"With this we want to improve the overall experience of users who enjoy these cycling routes through the Grandvalira domain."

It should be remembered that there are 3 ski lifts with which you can access more easily to the circuits (the Soldeu and Canillo cable cars, and the Funicamp) and there are 5 recharging points for electric bicycles in the nerve centers of the ski areas operating in summer.

Another improvement for users is the agreement with the renowned navigation application Wikiloc, which allows the recording of hiking or cycling routes. With this collaboration, Grandvalira 's profile will become official within the application so that, for example, it can be followed free of charge all over the world without the need to have the Premium APP, even without an internet connection. In addition, the routes will also be available on the Grandvalira website and through the Grandvalira Resorts app. In this sense, 2 new tours are proposed for e-bike, but also for trail and enduro.

Another improvement of the project is the incorporation of the Flowtrail concept in the circuits of La Cueva, Maians, Gall de Bosc and Avet World Cup, specially cambered, classified by color according to level and with new transitions to make them more fun.

The Mon(t) Magic Family Park and the Soldeu Golf Course.

The longest zip line in the Pyrenees and the iconic Màgic Gliss slide, along with many more activities, are once again one of the great attractions in summer at the Mon(t) Magic Family Park in Canillo, which continues to consolidate its wide range of activities for all audiences that have made the family park one of the most visited spots in summer.

The family leisure center will be open from June 22 to September 8 and will include as a novelty new Family Walks itineraries that will be added to the Fornatura (path of legends), the Marmot Forest and the Marmot Observation Center, the Marmot Park and the Magic Family Park, which will be open from June 22 to September 8. n de la Marmota, the Clots Fondos trail (of great geological interest) and the Cap de Rep trail (of botanical and landscape interest). In addition, the Mon(t) Magic will have a new ski lift to recover more quickly the different equipment s needed for the zip line, which will also make it more sustainable.

The family day can be rounded off by enjoying the park's restaurant service in the magnificent Xiri Forn and the cafeteria. In addition, between August 27 and September 1 it will also be possible to access the Portella Viewpoint.

On the other hand, Golf Soldeu, the highest 9-hole course in Europe, will also open from June 22 to September 29. This year a new driving range and a change of orientation will be introduced to improve the customer experience. In its facilities, fans will be able to enjoy the exquisite gastronomic offer of Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon and, from July 22, also the Petroni terrace.

Pessons environment, GMG guides and Epic Andorra accommodations

One of the star gastronomic attractions of the resort, the Llac dels Pessons Restaurant, in the Grau Roig ski area, will offer, as always, its magnificent service next to the incredible views of the lake, this year from June 22 and until October. As usual, the 4x4 bus will be activated to get there from the Grau Roig school. In this same ski area is the nerve center and one of the departure points of different hiking routes proposed by Grandvalira Mountain Guides, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary and will also carry out various thematic outings on special dates, such as the full moon or the solar phenomenon of the Arcalís peak.

The Grau Roig ski area of Grandvalira also activates Epic Andorra's unique accommodations in summer, so you can sleep in the middle of the mountain. On the one hand, there is the Cabana Piolet, which simulates a tree house at 2,150 m, and on the other the Domo Lodge, a transparent igloo located at even higher altitude, will be the perfect space to round off the experience and will be ready from June 22 to September 8.

On the other hand, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley, part of the Grandvalira territory will host different activities to celebrate it.

Lots of proposals with the Funicamp and fishing in Pas de la Casa.

Beyond being one of the focal points of Grandvalira's e-bike routes, the Funicamp will propose from July 6 to September 1, multiple proposals for all audiences. The longest funitel in Europe, with a 25-minute ride through the valley of Els Cortals, will have a 4x4 bus from Solanelles with which you can reach the Cubil lake. From there, you can also enjoy various activities and hiking, as well as discover the high mountain landscapes of the heart of Grandvalira and the cultural and historical heritage of the Orri del Cubil.

The gastronomy in the Encamp ski area will also have prominence through the Racó de Solanelles brasserie, as well as its cafeteria, all combined with the spectacular views from the terrace.

Finally, in the Pas de la Casa ski area, two ski lifts will be activated again: the Pioners gondola lift and the Coll dels Isards chairlift, which will facilitate access to the Abelletes lake, very popular with the area's fishermen. In this sense, there will be activities for the whole family and for children, fishing without death.

MTB World Championships, Maxiavalanche, the bike school and the new Furious by Pal Arinsal.

The summer of Pal Arinsal will be marked by the celebration of the UCI MTB World Championships, between August 26 and September 1, which is expected to receive more than 80,000 attendees, and where the best MTB riders in the world will compete for the rainbow jerseys of the 5 disciplines that will be part of the event.

This Friday, there will already be competition on two wheels in Pal Arinsal, with the Maxiavalanche, the mass start race that will bring together more than 500 riders and that gives the official kick-off to the summer season in the domain. Also, the resort will receive this same weekend two competitions of other sports: the Trail 100 Andorra by UTMB, which will pass through the Coll de la Botella and the Subida a Arinsal.

Beyond the competition, the offer of Pal Arinsal will again be characterized by the Bike Park, one of the most prestigious worldwide with more than 60 km of circuits, which will open this weekend from June 14 to 16 and from June 22 to September 8, except for the days of the World Mountain Bike Championships. In September it will reopen, but only on weekends from the 14th to the weekend of October 12 and 13.

In this context, the resort incorporates as a seasonal novelty the Furious by Pal Arinsal club, an MTB program for children between 3 and 11 years old available throughout the season and that during the school holidays offers the option to enroll in specialized thematic campuses, to end up training them for future competitions.

In parallel, the product of the Pal Arinsal Bike School, which offers families an ideal setting for children to enjoy mountain biking supervised by specialized instructors, is promoted.

The Pal Arinsal offer is completed with the Mountain Park, which will also open its doors on June 22 and offers as a novelty a new ticket sales model through which tickets can be purchased individually, in addition to the usual joint activity pass. The Pal Arinsal activity center offers sports and family leisure activities such as skill challenges, rope park, go-karting, zip lines for adults and children, tubing tracks, climbing walls, ball pool, inflatables, etc.

The ski resort has a wide gastronomic offer with the Coll de la Botella restaurant and also in the Caubella, with different points of sale such as the Xiri and the Terraza del Expresso. Also, in the Arinsal ski area, the Els Orriols cable car will be open on weekends in July and August, to facilitate access to the Comapedrosa Natural Park.

Ordino Arcalís, with new routes and the extension of the Koikoi terrace

The ski resort of Ordino Arcalís, which inaugurated the season this past weekend with the opening of the Tristaina gondola lift and the Creussans chairlift to facilitate access to the Tristaina Solar viewpoint, continues its commitment to family and inclusive tourism and reinforces the points of dissemination of information for visitors. Thus, two new points of interest will be signposted with a QR integrated with Parl'APP plaques with braille that give access to information about the site with its videos included. The site with its inclusive videos in Catalan, Spanish, French and English, with audio, sign language and subtitling to promote inclusive tourism. The water cycle with the waterfalls and the patamuelles and marmots are the themes chosen to highlight the natural environment.

These two points are integrated into the Riberamunt route, which already has more than 30 that allow to know the history and curiosities of the villages with the aim of uniting the past, present and future of this territory declared a Biosphere Book by UNESCO.

Another of the season's novelties is the implementation of GMG guide products. In this sense, the Sorteny-Arcalís guided outing allows you to spend the night in the refuge, have breakfast and start an ascent on foot up to the Tristaina Solar viewpoint. It also includes a meal at La Coma restaurant.

On the other hand, the Ordino Arcalís restaurant service is also reinforced this season with the opening of the Kokoi terrace in the Hortell, which has doubled its space and capacity, and with themed dinners at the Restaurant La Coma. In addition, the Camp Base (Fast Drink) has also been expanded.

The Restaurant La Coma will also offer customers who have lunch bookings on Saturdays, a snack to take inside the Tristaina gondola lift that accesses the La Coma ski area. Last season, this device inaugurated six new cabins with transparent glass floor that allow hikers to have the sensation of flying over the mountain on a route of more than a mile.

Finally, the Hortell car park lot will have 16 chargers for electric vehicles, since 10 have been installed in addition to the 6 that were already inaugurated in winter in Planells.
